CoreXY design and extreme print speed
Elegoo Centauri Carbon uses a modern CoreXY motion system that delivers high printing speed without noticeable vibrations. The manufacturer has equipped it with a pair of 4260 stepper motors and a massive aluminum frame made from cast aluminum, helping maintain stability even during very fast movement of the print head.
The maximum speed reaches up to 500 mm/s and acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s². In practice, this means significantly shorter print times compared to conventional models. There’s also a high material flow rate of 32 mm³/s, so the printer can handle fast prints even for larger models or more complex details.
Support for carbon filaments and technical materials
The biggest advantage of the Elegoo Centauri Carbon model is compatibility with demanding filaments. Besides standard PLA or PETG, it also supports ABS, ASA, TPU, or carbon fiber filaments reinforced with carbon fibers. These are especially popular for making strong yet lightweight technical parts.
This is helped by a metal hotend with a maximum temperature of up to 320 °C, a hardened steel nozzle, and a fully enclosed printing chamber. The closed enclosure keeps the temperature stable during printing and minimizes warping of models made from materials like ABS or ASA.
Automatic calibration without time-consuming setup
A major plus is the automatic calibration. The printer sets the nozzle height by itself, performs automatic bed leveling, and can also calibrate vibrations or Pressure Advance. This makes it much easier to use—especially for less experienced users.
