When developing the FiiO JT1, the manufacturer focused primarily on playback quality. Instead of a lot of effects and RGB backlighting, they invested in high-quality acoustic components. The headphones use a large 50 mm dynamic driver with a modern membrane made from a combination of PEK, PU, and an aluminum foil material, helping achieve low distortion, fast response, and very good detail reproduction.

Sound is also handled by a high-quality CCAW voice coil together with powerful N52 neodymium magnets. The result is a wide soundstage, precise instrument imaging, and tight bass without unnecessary emphasis on low frequencies. The manufacturer didn’t try to create aggressively tuned headphones, but instead delivers a universal model that’s great for long listening sessions.

Large 50 mm drivers with Hi-Res Audio certification

The highlight is clearly the large 50 mm dynamic drivers, among the biggest in their price category. The frequency range reaches 15 Hz to 30 kHz, so they reproduce deep bass and delicate highs without any issues. Of course, there’s also Hi-Res Audio certification.

With an impedance of only 32 Ω, the FiiO JT1 can be driven easily even by a smartphone, laptop, gaming console, or a standard USB-C audio adapter. Naturally, once connected to a quality DAC converter or a headphone amplifier, they can deliver an even higher level of detail.

Comfort even during multi-hour listening

The manufacturer also thought about comfort. The headphones use an adaptive headband that automatically adjusts to your head size. That means no manual fine-tuning of each position, and the clamping force stays comfortable even during longer listening marathons.

Soft ear pads comfortably wrap around your ears, while the closed-back design also isolates surrounding sounds very well. At about 355 grams the weight isn’t among the absolute lightest, but in practice you hardly notice it thanks to how the weight is distributed on your head.
