A powerful yet efficient AMD chip
The chip at the heart of this mini PC is probably what interests you most. It is the AMD Ryzen 7 5825U with a maximum frequency of 4,5 GHz. The base clock is 2,0 GHz, and it’s a laptop chip based on the previous-generation AM4 platform, made using a 7 nm process and a TDP of 15 W. So it’s a processor well suited for use in such a small computer. Its L3 cache will please you too, with 16 MB. That comes in handy, for example, when gaming. There are 8 CPU cores and 16 threads.
Graphics you can even game on with lighter titles
The chip has integrated AMD Radeon graphics, which can run several less demanding games or some graphic programs. It has 2 GB of dedicated memory. The seller, or rather the manufacturer, states that in League of Legends you can expect 148 fps, in Dota 2 102 fps, in the former CS:G0 95 fps, in PUBG 65 fps, and in World of Tanks 60 fps. These figures are not given with any specific in-game settings, and the resolution is not mentioned either, so we would take them with a grain of salt.
Video output with 4K resolution at 60 Hz is supported, including HDR mode. It uses DisplayPort, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C interfaces. Installed is one 16 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM memory module with a speed of 3200 MT/s, with the option to expand to dual-channel mode up to 64 GB. Thanks to efficient cooling and the chip’s low power losses, you don’t have to worry about overheating. You also get storage in the form of a 512 GB NVMe SSD.
More than sufficient connectivity
The BMAX B5 A Pro also features wireless connectivity in the form of dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0. The port selection includes power input (19V / 3,42A), DisplayPort, HDMI, a pair of USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 ports, a USB-C connector, 1 Gbps Ethernet, and a 3,5 mm jack for connecting wired audio devices such as headphones or speakers.
The body of this mini PC also includes a dedicated BIOS reset button, which can come in handy in some critical situations. Of course, there is also a power button. The Windows 11 operating system comes preinstalled. The product weighs 300 grams and its dimensions are 12,5 x 11,2 x 4,4 centimetres.
