Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro: a cheaper treadmill
The treadmill segment is usually the domain of various fitness companies that focus on producing training accessories. However, one exception is the company Mobvoi, which is more focused on technology and operates in the segment of various gadgets and smartwatches.
The product goes on sale as Mobvoi Home Treadmill Pro, featuring a matte black frame and dimensions of 1350 mm D x 688 mm W x 1102 mm (when folded out). However, it can be folded for practical storage. The device’s net weight is 34 kg.
Maximum speed of 12 km/h and direct mains power
Inside, there’s an electric motor with a total output of 0.75 horsepower. It will power the belt for users with a maximum weight of up to 120 kg. The walking/running surface measures 0.4 x 1 m. The design also includes a pair of side handrails, plus a remote control and an integrated LED display to show stats about your workout.
The belt itself has a diamond texture and can move at speeds ranging from 1 – 12 km/h. You can choose a walking mode with a maximum speed of up to 4 km/h, and a running mode with a maximum speed of up to 12 km/h. Power is handled directly via a power cable to the electrical mains (AC connector).
In the product’s retail package, you’ll find the treadmill itself named Mobvoi Home Treadmill (editor’s note: some parts may be disassembled). You’ll also get a charging cable with a local connector (EU Plug, 220 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz), a tool for securing the individual parts, a brief user manual, and the initial device setup in English.
Mobvoi Home Treadmill Incline: a better belt with adjustable incline
The more expensive Home Treadmill Incline model’s main upgrade is an adjustable incline, so running and walking will be more challenging. The incline can be set from 0 % to 15 %. Another key difference from the Pro version is compatibility with the TicWatch watch app, so you can monitor your activities directly from your smart device on your wrist.
Inside, it also has a more powerful motor rated at 1 HP, and you can tell the difference at first glance thanks to its dual design. It weighs a bit more—instead of 34 kg, it’s up to 45.5 kg—so it’s more difficult to handle. Load capacity stops at 120 kg.
