“ST2 don’t have the flat sound like ST, but they do have EQ via the app, and you can make the sound your own – from almost flat through a V-shaped tuning to a ‘dunihlav’ feel. You can also set the gain – so on high gain they are also fairly loud; then normal EQ, bass+ and bass -, and there are numerous response curves. In my opinion, for example, Harman In-Ear is excellent, slightly V-shaped. The soundstage is better than ST, with no frequency leaking – so the instruments don’t mix, and you don’t risk a ‘warmer’ sound compared to the recording. The only thing is, in my view, the ANC hasn’t changed compared to the first version. For me, that was enough. Even at the current 33 it’s a great buy. But during the sale it’s the best buy of the year.”

Next-gen ANC noise cancellation

A key interesting point is the use of so-called feedforward ANC, meaning noise cancellation using only an external microphone. It’s a technically more demanding solution, but it doesn’t affect the quality of the playback music. Thanks to the stronger SOC chip and careful software tuning, the Space Travel 2 can effectively suppress surrounding noises while keeping the sound natural and clean.

It also adds AI ENC for calls, improving voice transmission and filtering background noise. That’s handled by the built-in NPU unit, which can process algorithms in real time. The result is clearer calls even in a busy environment.

Gaming mode and low latency

For MOONDROP gamers, it added a game mode with a response time of just 55 ms. You activate the mode with a simple four-tap on the touch panel. As a result, the sound in games and video is perfectly synchronized with the image—something you’ll appreciate, for example, in fast FPS titles or when watching movies.

You can also switch quickly between gaming and music modes, making the Space Travel 2 truly versatile for everyday use.

Personalization via the app

The manufacturer also didn’t forget about modern software. In the MOONDROP Link app, you can set touch gestures to match your preferences, switch ANC modes, enable transparency mode, or simply customize the EQ with one button. That way, you get exactly the sound that suits you best.

All controls are intuitive and accessible even for users who don’t have experience with the manufacturer’s apps. Plus, everything works on smartphones with Android and iOS.

Battery life and charging case

The earbuds themselves come with a capacity of 35 mAh, which means about 7 hours of music playback in the AAC codec. The charging case has a capacity of 380 mAh and, together, provides up to 24 hours of use. Charging is done via the USB-C connector with input 5V/1A.
