Updated 28 July 2026: we completely rewrote this guide according to the new customs rules in force from 1 July 2026 and the current AliExpress interface. You no longer need the old trick with the &shipFromCountry=CZ parameter and switching the delivery country to Czechia — AliExpress now has a direct Ship from EU filter and it works with a Slovak address too.
AliExpress EU warehouses were always a nice bonus — faster delivery, easier returns. But from 1 July 2026, they mean something completely different: they are the easiest way to avoid the new €3 customs duty on every item. In this guide, we’ll show you how to filter search results down to goods already located in Europe — on mobile and on desktop.
- From 1 July 2026, a flat €3 customs duty per each type of goods applies to shipments from third countries — the customs exemption up to €150 is gone.
- AliExpress already collects it in the cart as Estimate duties; in practice, you’ll see €3.7 (VAT is also charged on top of the duty).
- Goods from an EU warehouse are not subject to the new customs duty — the price you see is final.
- The filter is called Ship from EU and is available even when Slovakia is set as the country.
- Search in the mobile app works best — on desktop, turn off your ad blocker.
- In our price boxes, you click directly on the specific warehouse and the specific product variant.
What changed from 1 July 2026
The European Union abolished the customs exemption for shipments up to €150 and replaced it with a temporary flat duty. It is paid €3 for each type of goods in the shipment, not €3 per parcel — and the type of goods is determined by the customs tariff code.
In practice, this means:
- three identical charging cables in one order = one type of goods = €3 customs duty,
- cable + phone case + charger = three different customs codes = €9 customs duty.
The good news is that you don’t pay anything extra to the courier or at the post office. AliExpress automatically collects the duty at checkout and remits it for you through the IOSS system. In the cart, you’ll find it as Estimate duties, and its amount is €3.7, not €3 — because VAT is calculated on top of the duty too.

Why AliExpress EU warehouses are now the most important filter
If the product is already physically in Europe at the moment you place your order, it is not an import from a third country. So you pay no new customs duty, no customs clearance is needed, and VAT is included in the price. The price you see on the product is also the price you pay.
For more expensive items, that’s a nice detail; for cheap ones, it can be the difference between a smart buy and nonsense — on a product for €8, the duty makes up almost half the price. Add delivery in a few days instead of three weeks, and it’s clear why sellers are pushing goods into European warehouses as much as they can.

How to enable the Ship from EU filter on mobile
Most people shop on their phone, and as it happens, that’s the better choice too — the app has long had richer and more accurate search results than desktop. We don’t know why that is, but we’ve checked it so many times that it’s no coincidence anymore. So if you’re choosing between the app and the web, go with the app.
Compared with older guides, it’s also much easier today — you no longer need to switch the delivery country to Czechia; the filter shows up with Slovakia too. And in the app, it’s literally one tap:
- Search for the product as usual.
- Above the results, on the filter line next to Filters and Sort by, click the EU flag button Ship from EU.
- Done — your results will now show only products shipped from European warehouses.
If that button doesn’t appear in your search, the same option is also in Filters → Delivery & service.

How to do it on a computer
On the website, the filter is even more accessible — it’s in the left panel right under the discounts:
- Search for a product.
- In the left column, find the Delivery & service section.
- Tick Ship from EU.
Above the results, you’ll see a label Delivery & service: Ship from EU that shows the filter is active — and with one click on Clear all, you turn it off again.

Image search: how to find the same product for less
Filtering is only half the job. The same product is often sold by ten different sellers on AliExpress, and each sets a different price — and some of them have it in a European warehouse. The fastest way to spot them is with image search, which works in the app and on desktop today.
- Make a screenshot of the product (feel free to use our review or another shop).
- On AliExpress, click the camera icon in the search box and upload the image.
- In the results, sort offers by the lowest price and enable Ship from EU.
That way, you’ll get the cheapest European offer for the same product, even if each seller named it differently. The whole process, including the second trick via Related items, is in a separate guide:
How to spot AliExpress EU warehouses at a glance
Sellers today actively promote their own European warehouse, because it’s their competitive advantage. In the results, look for:
- a blue badge Ship from EU under the product image,
- the graphic VAT Included or ES/DE Warehouse directly in the image,
- in the product details, the Ships from item, where you can choose the warehouse manually — it often changes both the price and delivery time.

Filtering is nice, but for the products we recommend in articles, you don’t need to handle it at all. Our price boxes work differently than regular affiliate links: each offer has its own link tied to a specific product variant and a specific warehouse from which it ships.
In practice, that means when you switch the variant in the box (for example, 8/256 GB instead of 8/128 GB), not only the price changes, but also the link — and for each variant you’ll see the flag and the warehouse name the offer ships from. So you click exactly what’s written in the box: that variant, that warehouse, that price.
That’s why if a box shows a Spanish or Polish warehouse, you don’t need to filter or click around — you go straight to the offer where you won’t pay new customs duty.

New customs duty doesn’t mean the end of shopping from China—it only means you’ll have to think a bit more. For cheap products, compare whether there’s an EU-warehouse version; for more expensive ones, the coupon, the seller’s reliability, and the total price including shipping decide.

So I don’t have the filter shop from EU there.
Hi, the filter is there, but AliExpress only shows it when there’s at least one product from a European warehouse among the results. So it’s not about the country, it’s about what you enter in the search.
The most common reason is a too-specific search query. If you search, for example, the exact full name including the color and version, you’ll end up with only a few items that all ship from China, and there’s nothing for the filter to latch onto. Try a shorter, more general search phrase—ideally in English—and the “Ship from” filter will appear. Then narrow the results further with other filters or price.
The second option is to go through a category instead of search—the filters there work more reliably.
And for a specific product, always check the shipping country directly on the product card, because for some items the EU warehouse can only be selected after you choose a variant—and you won’t see it in the search results.
Hello, I found goods from European warehouses worth €11.20, shipping €1.99, and in the subtotal I also saw a line—estimated import charges—€7.38. So the total wasn’t €13.10, but €20.38. Using a computer is definitely more practical, because you only set the warehouse you’re looking for there and you don’t have to change the delivery country. It can happen that what’s shipped to the Czech Republic isn’t shipped to Slovakia, and then filtering would be pointless.
EU warehouse filters don’t work at all. If there is such an option, then it’s pointless—no matter how I change the country to SK and the menu to Euro, I still don’t see almost anywhere an option to choose a warehouse.
Read it with understanding. You need to choose a different country than SK—for example, the Czech Republic.
No, great product from China to the Czech Republic costs €12 and free shipping. The same product from the Czech Republic to the Czech Republic costs €4, but shipping is €30. It all seems weird.
Hey Frederik, there’s a trick you can use to list items sold from CZ warehouses (or any other EU country warehouse) but it involves playing a bit with the URL 🙂
Rather than switching back and forth your address between two countries, you can:
1. Open AliExpress’ website
2. Search for whatever item
3. When the results load, append at the end of the URL ‘&shipFromCountry=CZ’ (without the single quotes) and press enter
You can replace CZ for PL, ES, BE or any other EU warehouse.
That method guarantees that only items sold from that country warehouse AND that actually ship to your country will be listed.
Note that there’s a drawback to this method, as the URL will be modified if you go to page 2 in the results (or 3 or nth), so you could overcome that appending as well ‘&page=1’ after the ‘shipFromCountry’ filter. You will have to browse from then on modifying the URL. It is usually not a problem since the best results are usually on the first page (if you sort by number of orders).

Hi, VAT and customs duty change after 1.7.2021, as it’s written everywhere in similar blogs. I bought a device on AliExpress before that date—specifically on 29.6. The package cleared customs after 1.7. and I had to pay customs duty and customs fees in some amount. So I want to ask whether the customs office at Slovak Post handled it properly and whether they have the option to charge fees even though the goods were bought before the law came into effect. Did the seller compensate you 100%? Through a dispute that’s hard, because in the AliExpress dispute process you don’t even have the option to enter customs duty as the reason for the dispute. You should buy from verified and reliable sellers—then compensation can be arranged. We already have experience with the official TicWatch seller: they reimbursed our customs fees after they accidentally shipped the watches from China instead of from an EU warehouse.

Hello. The address change is only for filtering products in the EU warehouse. After you choose a product, you then change your address back to Slovakia. Basically, you don’t even need to do this, because in the cart you select the address you entered in your AliExpress account. That address doesn’t change based on choosing a different country on the main page.
It’s basically the same anyway—9 out of 10 orders from the “CZ”, ”ES”, “PL” warehouses ultimately ship from China anyway... Sometimes with faster shipping (last time a cadence sensor for a bike from “Poland” took 10 days from China; PPL delivered it), and sometimes it takes forever. Luckily, for many items it’s now “delivered in x.y. or money back”, which I use a lot.
We personally have more positive experiences that AliExpress also delivered cheaper items from EU warehouses within 5 days. But it has also happened to us that they came from a Chinese warehouse and we had to pay customs duty. The seller compensated it 100%.

Unfortunately, some products even from the CZ warehouse don’t deliver to SK. You need to look in a different warehouse / with a different seller, or even on a completely different e-shop, like Banggood.
