Android Auto is a popular software optimized for controlling your car’s dashboard computer. It’s closely connected to your Android smartphone, and in a way it acts as its extended arm. Now it’s arriving in the latest version labeled Android Auto 13.7, and we know what news it brings.
These are the main improvements in the Android Auto 13.7 version
Android Auto is continuously improving as software. As part of this update series, we regularly see primarily bug fixes, but there are also optimizations and, occasionally, interesting new features.
What’s currently expected is full integration of artificial intelligence in the form of Google Gemini, or the introduction of support for playing local radio stations. However, this information is still just speculation.

But what we do know are the specific changes in this year’s second update — in the stable version of Android Auto 13.7. And while Google is rolling out this update to users, once again it hasn’t provided us with a list of the exact changes.
That said, this doesn’t apply to the foreign portal, which says that at first glance — in terms of design or the layout of elements — there are no noticeable major updates. After all, everything important happens this time under the hood.
New Android apps available during the parking phase
More information was found by 9to5Google directly in the system code. These are the following threads:
- <string name=”new_app_available”>Now available in Android Auto</string>
- <string name=”new_parked_app_available”>Now available in Android Auto while parked</string>
Looking at these threads, it’s clear that Google is at least preparing an element that notifies you about the availability of new apps for Android Auto. However, we don’t know any further details yet.
Another interesting detail is the highlight of a new app during the time you’re parked. This way, more apps could make their way into your vehicle — especially streaming platforms, video games, or web browsers.
These popular apps would be made available within Android Auto as soon as the vehicle is parked. This is also suggested by the “Car ready” notice published by the SvetAndroida.cz website.

Even before these apps reach the final version of Android Auto, they will be part of the Android Automotive OS system. And that’s already this month, for testing purposes.
They’ll get to Android Auto later, and the new 13.7 version is clearly starting to prepare for their arrival. When these apps will show up — and even their final list — is still unknown.
