OnePlus officially launched the global sales of its flagship OnePlus 15 today, bringing several major changes and updates. The smartphone debuted in China last month, and this time we can enjoy it here in Europe, India, Canada, and soon also in the USA. However, availability in some markets is slightly delayed due to FCC certification issues in the USA caused by the recent government shutdown. The important thing is that all the necessary tests have already been completed, and certification is only waiting for formal approval.
You can get the fully usable US version of the OnePlus 15 smartphone with 16 + 512 GB at a much lower price from our partner GShopper. They stocked it in their Hong Kong warehouse. Delivery is free of charge and duty-free, and it takes about 15 business days. This is a full-fledged version of the smartphone that’s fully compatible on our market. The original package also includes a charger.
It’s also available on the AliExpress marketplace in the EU version without a charger in the EU warehouse, which means delivery within a week.
China Planet shopping TIP: GShopper has now launched direct bank transfer payments, so you can save another 4.5 % off the product price! Compared to card / Google Pay payment, you can get this product much cheaper. We described the full bank transfer payment process in our article.

A performance beast: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and a new cooling system
The OnePlus 15 is powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite, backed by a 3D vapor chamber, an aerogel layer, and a graphite sheet to ensure efficient heat dissipation. The big new feature is always-on 120 fps gaming, which is currently supported only by the game Mobile Legends. In PUBG and BGMI you get “almost” constant 120 fps. For now, we don’t know whether it’s interpolation or native rendering.
The biggest battery on the market and fast charging
The spotlight goes to the 7300 mAh silicon battery, the largest capacity in a commercially sold smartphone on the US market. OnePlus promises 80% capacity even after 4 years (1,400 cycles). In China, they even claim up to 5 years per cycle every 1.35 days. Charging reaches 120 W wired. There’s also 50 W wireless AirVOOC charging.
There is also a bypass charging feature, which is basically direct power delivery to your smartphone, for example while gaming, while bypassing the battery power path, which helps prevent overheating and wear.
165 Hz AMOLED display
The OnePlus 15 got a 6.78″ AMOLED panel with a 165 Hz refresh rate, but the manufacturer reduced the resolution from QHD+ to 1.5K (2772 × 1272 px). This is explained by the unavailability of QHD+ panels with such a high refresh rate. The display supports 1800 nits in HBM mode, 3200 Hz touch sampling, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
Cameras: downgrade or upgrade?
This year, OnePlus is giving up the Hasselblad branding and switching to its own DetailMax Engine. The lineup includes:
50 MP main sensor IMX906 / f1.8 / 1/1.56″
50 MP periscope JN5 / 3.5x zoom / f2.8 / 1/2.76″
50 MP ultra-wide OV50D / f2.0 / 1/2.88″
32 MP front IMX709 RGBW camera

The sensors are smaller than in the case of OnePlus 13, but the manufacturer adds new AI modes: Ultra Clear 26 MP, 10 fps Burst Mode, underwater mode or 4K/120 fps Dolby Vision video. Another highlight is continuous zoom in portrait mode and LOG video with LUT preview.
New shortcut instead of the alert switch, plus IP69K protection
The alert switch is gone and replaced by a programmable button, which may disappoint some fans. The phone still brings extreme durability though—IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K, including protection against high-pressure water jets. The frame and display are flat, making it easier to apply films and cases.
OxygenOS 16 and AI features
OnePlus 15 runs on OxygenOS 16 over Android 16 and comes with a set of AI features:
Plus Mind for saving content with AI suggestions
AI Recorder with transcription and summarization
AI Portrait Glow for better portraits
AI Scan for digitizing documents
Car Sick Mode for passengers
The manufacturer promises 4 major system updates and 6 years of security patches, which is solid—though not record-breaking.
Hardware details and colors
Other specs don’t miss out on Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, an IR port, USB 3.2 Gen 1, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and up to 1 TB storage in the top configuration. Color options include Sandstorm (glass fiber), Infinite Black (matte AG glass), and Ultra Violet.
