OnePlus has an existing rollout plan for a new version of its user interface layer OxygenOS 15. It’s, of course, built on the latest version of the operating system Android 15. The new graphical interface will bring users a range of improvements, new features, and a modernized design that takes inspiration from Apple’s iOS on the iPhone. Developers focused on smoother animations, better tuning, and also on implementing new artificial intelligence-based features.
Current distribution of updates to Android 15
According to the official schedule, the first devices to receive the open beta version were OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R. The rollout started as early as October 30, 2024. Over time, more models were added, including OnePlus Open and OnePlus Pad 2.

In December 2024, you can expect the beta version on smartphones OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus Nord 4, OnePlus Nord CE 4, OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite, and on the tablet OnePlus Pad. In January 2025, it will also reach OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10T, and OnePlus Nord 3. The manufacturer also reports that February will be reserved for OnePlus 10R and OnePlus Nord CE 3.
The stable version of OxygenOS 15 will be made available to users only after the beta versions are successfully tested and based on feedback from voluntary testers. It’s worth noting that the stable version is already available for the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 13 series.
News in OxygenOS 15
One of the most interesting new features is the ability to customize the lock screen and Always-On Display (AOD). OxygenOS 15 offers various text styles and new dynamic effects. You can customize the look of the clock, text, and the position of individual elements on the screen according to your preferences. Photos on the lock screen get a more modern look thanks to dynamic effects that add depth—just like on iPhone, and now also on Xiaomi.

For now, though, you can only choose from pre-made text options, as shown in the image above.
OxygenOS 15 introduces the Live Alerts feature, inspired by iPhone’s Live Activities. This update lets users display alerts from up to three apps at once directly on the home screen. This means you don’t have to switch between apps, improving clarity and saving time. Current app support is limited, but we believe it will expand in the near future.

For photography fans, the new version of the software brings tools powered by artificial intelligence. These features are ideal for quick edits directly in the gallery without needing external apps.
- AI Unblur – can sharpen blurry photos and improve their quality.
- AI Reflection Eraser – removes unwanted reflections from photos.
- AI Detail Boost – enhances details and sharpness, making photos look better.
Even though OxygenOS 15 offers many improvements, some Android 15 system features are still missing. These include, for example:
- App Archival – the ability to archive apps to save space,
- Partial Screen Recording – recording only a specific part of the screen,
- Private Space – a feature designed to enhance privacy protection.
New OxygenOS 15 focuses on improving the user experience with UI enhancements, smoother animations, and the rumored AI features that are meant to boost your productivity and efficiency. Did you get the OnePlus update to Android 15? Let us know in the comments.

I have the OP12 EU version cph2581, and the update arrived on its own about 5 days ago. So far, I’ve noticed the most from the aod display features and tracking how often and which apps I use.
I own a OnePlus 12. If you can’t wait for the new Oxygen 15 just like I couldn’t, you can use the Oxygen Updater app. On my end, it found the update without any issues and updated it.
