Huge power and great battery life
One of the first things that this new release will catch your attention with is its massive power. It goes up to 130 W, and together with brutal bass it delivers an unbelievable sound experience that literally pulls you into the action. What’s more, you can connect it to other similar speakers to enhance the overall playback experience. If you don’t like the manufacturer’s basic settings, you can customize the equalizer right in the mobile app.
Great news also includes a properly long battery life, provided by the built-in battery with a capacity of up to 18 000 mAh. Thanks to this, the speaker can play music continuously for up to 24 hours (at 50% volume). Recharging it to full capacity takes about 5 hours. With this battery life, you don’t have to worry about it running out during your party.
Durable build and LED backlighting
This speaker of course also includes a well-made and durable construction, which makes it a perfect device for indoor as well as outdoor use. With its quality workmanship, it has earned water resistance certification of IPX6. So you don’t have to worry about it being damaged by splashes of water, normal spray, or even rain.

On both sides, it also has RGB LED rings that can sync with the music being played and light up or blink in rhythm with the beat. This will take your party to an even higher level. And to top it off, you can connect a pair of wired microphones and a guitar to it. All of this within a single device, and even at an unbeatable low price.

Hey guys, it’s out already—the basic Bang model, the Bang 2—will there be coupons? (Maybe they already are)
I’m considering buying the direct competitor to the Bang Max instead: the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2 (200W powerhouse). Do you have a coupon for it, or is it only the one directly on their website? But I can only get it down to €240—that still seems like a lot even with a coupon.. https://eu.tribit.com/products/tribit-stormbox-blast-2-portable-bluetooth-speaker
Coupon no longer works :/
Does this coupon 82MZAA63 for €109 work? We’ll try to arrange additional units for that original one—the best deal.
So I’m putting in the best two boombox speaker options for the prices available on the market. JBL are way overpriced in terms of boombox prices, and in terms of sound quality, they often don’t measure up—everything is expensive and overhyped (except for the PartyBox Encore; that one is great, clean, well-tuned, but pricey—because it’s JBL…). But what I’m sharing here offers the best performance and sound for the best price. Check out the Tronsmart Bang Max vs the Tribit Stormbox Blast 2. I think Tronsmart, considering the price, really delivers. The 200W on the Tribit is apparently enough, and at the same time there’s an alleged 80W difference! Even so, personally I don’t believe that 200W on the Tribit… it’s probably real, max, up to about 150W. Anyway, if you want nicely clean, well-balanced bass, highs, and mids—like I said, the best for about a hundred bucks on a coupon. If you have the chance to get it from abroad in Western countries, then as I wrote below: Earfun Uboom X is the top choice for around €110 … and even this—hat tip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD5t3AQdkQs
And there’s also this excellent one, though it’s harder to get: the 200W boombox W-King X20. Still, it rather competes with that Tribit. Anyway, this year there’s really a lot to choose from—nice and quite high-quality pieces—especially after the updates; they’re pretty well tuned now.
For me, the Tronsmart Bang Max is a bit too bass-heavy; for a similar coupon price, you can get the beautifully balanced 80W Earfun Uboom X, which was also tuned by the long-time German audio reviewer and expert with excellent ears for music systems and sound quality in this field, Oluv (until recently he still had the YouTube channel Oluv Gadgets with lots of video reviews of many speakers and boomboxes, but unfortunately they deleted it - because he supposedly shared something he shouldn’t have and violated some copyright or whatever... or maybe because he was repeatedly overly critical of top brands and overpriced products, for example from JBL, Sony, etc., since the sound quality often didn’t impress for that money, so they probably silenced him because he was hurting their sales and business... he’s on Patreon now). He has been doing reviews in Germany for years; I still remember him from the 90s, back when there was no internet and his articles were published in music magazines. I have that speaker at home, so I know what I’m talking about — it’s really beautifully tuned, including the EQs in the Earfun app directly from him. In any case, you can’t buy and order it from the Earfun e-shop here; I ordered it through an acquaintance in Austria, so if you have acquaintances in neighboring countries, or to the west of us, it’s no problem... It’s a pity, because just last year it was possible to order from the Earfun website even to us; sometime during 2024 they changed that. You order here https://www.myearfun.com/speakers/earfun-uboom-x-portable-bluetooth-speaker-black but maybe someone prefers bass more than the overall musical output and performance... For anyone interested, here’s a mutual comparison of the Earfun Uboom X vs the Tronsmart Bang Max; in terms of price/performance, they’re probably the two best boombox speakers currently available to buy within the EU... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QavNLmamGWI&
Is there going to be another discount?
Sure— we updated the article; the speaker is back in stock.
Tronsmart’s speaker is really great—until it works. After a couple of months, it’s dead (K.O.), and most Chinese sellers (like mine) will tell you to get lost when it comes to the warranty. With this price, I don’t recommend it! Besides the non-working speaker, I also have 2 pairs of Tronsmart Neo headphones—they also sound great, but the touch control barely responds at all. Weak QC.
I have the Tronsmart Element T6 Max—it’s been working fine for about 5 years now. It might be a bit over-tuned (overpowered), but for rap it’s totally fine.
I have the Tronsmart Force Max 80W at home—actually 2 units—and both are still working perfectly as normal, even after almost the 5th or 6th year. So don’t assume everyone has bad luck with cheap stuff just because it’s China. Of course, with speakers at this price you should expect that defective units can happen more often than usual with branded speakers—but even there it’s not written that you’ll definitely avoid a faulty one.
