“Again, Ultimea proved that you can build a great home theater for a reasonable price. The beginning was a bit awkward, but you need to play around with the settings it offers, and then it gets interesting. However, if you don’t miss what I’d call: overhead surround sound, then you can easily stick with the Poseidon D60 5.1.1 for around €160 (I had that one at home and sold it because I upgraded to the S80).”

The soundbar dimensions are 800 x 38 x 90 mm and it weighs 1.3 kg. The subwoofer measures 315 x 385 x 190 mm and weighs 4.92 kg, and the surround speakers measure 150 x 38 x 82 mm and weigh 0.24 kg each. The maximum power of the entire setup is 520 W.
At the heart of the Nova S80 is an innovative 360-degree ASL-AcousticSync technology, complemented by a range of functions including and specialized upward-firing speakers. The 5.1.2 configuration will provide up to 8 speakers in total, consisting of three 3-inch and two 1.7-inch drivers in the soundbar, two 3-inch drivers in the surround speakers, and an 8-inch subwoofer.
Thanks to the frequency range of 35 Hz to 18 kHz and a maximum sound pressure level exceeding 105 dB, the Ultimea Nova S80 sound system ensures faithful reproduction of every sound nuance. Distortion stays below 1%, while static noise is minimized to 38 dB and less, guaranteeing crystal-clear sound.
The equalizer features 4 Surround, Dialog, Bass Max, and standard modes, with Dolby Atmos included and advanced bass customization options.
In terms of connectivity, the Ultimea Nova S80 offers an upgraded HDMI connector with the ARC standard (Audio Return Channel), allowing you to control the soundbar volume using your TV remote, or vice versa. In addition, it also supports older optical input, AUX, USB, and of course Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless connection of your smartphone or computer.
