Our review of the previous S10-S model
Back in 2023, we tested the original Joyor S10-S, which didn’t have the improvements of today’s model—namely turn signals, a new handlebar controller, and reduced weight from 30.5 kg to 27 kg. Otherwise, it’s the same scooter in terms of design and power, and we still consider it one of the best choices under €700. Since the newer S10-S-Z model is slightly lighter, you’ll also get a slightly better range per charge.
JOYOR S10-S-Z: A quality build, 2000 W, and a 18 Ah battery
JOYOR delivers an exceptionally solid build S10-S, made from an aluminum alloy. The dimensions are 124.5 x 61 x 123 cm, with the ability to fold into a smaller size suitable for transport, measuring 115 x 61 x 52.5 cm. The scooter’s net weight is 30.5 kilograms (the new S10-S-Z version is only 27 kg).
Inside, there’s a dual electric motor with a power of 2000 W (2 x 1000 W). It enables a top speed of up to 60 km/h after unlocking; otherwise, the speed is limited to 25 km/h. This drive is complemented by front and rear suspension, in a striking orange finish. The frame can handle riders up to 120 kilograms.
Smart LED display, 10″ tires, and hydraulic ZOOM brakes
The electric scooter has high-quality hydraulic brakes from ZOOM, as well as an integrated smart LED display with security to show statistics about your ride. The package also includes 10″ tires (road or “off-road” tires depending on configuration), as well as a 18 Ah (60 V) battery. Depending on the riding mode, the range is from 70 – 85 kilometers.
Charging afterwards takes about 10 – 12 hours with the included charger. According to the seller’s specifications, the scooter also features cruise control.

The original version of the scooter does not have a label with a max speed of 25 km/h.
Hi, I just want to say that I have a Joyor S10 and my rear motor got damaged, or rather the wiring got damaged where it comes out of the motor and at the nut the wiring kind of bends, but they used the wrong protective sleeve there, some kind of spring-like thing, but as the cable bends at that nut, the spring should bend too, only it opens up and protects nothing. It would be better to use some steel sleeve for that.
at 490 it is a very weak seller, few reviews, the seller has a short lifespan, do you recommend it?

Hello. This new version of the S10-Z scooter has a stated max speed of 25 km/h before unlocking, so that’s fine. You will still need to get liability insurance, because it exceeds 25 kg in weight.
