The electric scooter ANGWATT CS1 Pro comes as the brand’s third attempt to improve a model that is fairly lightweight but still powerful. With a robust build, a 1500 W motor, and a large 52 V 22.5 Ah battery, it offers a riding experience that every e-mobility fan will appreciate. Plus, it doesn’t miss modern technologies like NFC unlocking and a combined braking system.

We unpacked this scooter and tested it, and we have to say it’s a really successful model that surprised us in many ways. And here’s good news: it also has a label with a max speed of 25 km/h.

Buying on Banggood for the first time?

You can see the quality already from the box

Our partner Banggood sent us the ANGWATT CS1 Pro model for testing, and as you can see from the photos, we received a version with street tires. These offer noticeably better handling on the road, especially in terms of grip on asphalt. Assembly wasn’t complicated at all—just mount the handlebars, the display, and the rear fender.

In the box, besides the charger, you also get a set of keys, 2x NFC cards for unlocking, and a manual. As we wrote before, it’s already obvious at first glance that this scooter wasn’t made by any beginner—it looks truly solid. Everything stays firmly in place and there was no need to tighten any screws. We also give Angwatt a plus here that they know how to make quality machines.

Maximum speed of the ANGWATT CS1 Pro

You can read the scooter’s specs below in the article. But we want to get to one key issue that most people deal with after September 1st, and that’s the scooter’s maximum speed. A new vehicle category has been created — “small electric vehicle” — and it must meet several requirements. Besides a maximum design speed of 25 km/h, it also needs to have a manufacturer label stating this max speed. It must not have a seat.

Since ANGWATT apparently considered these rules, their models come from the factory limited to a top speed of 25 km/h, and for this specific scooter they also list it on the label. Of course — there is the option to unlock it. In this case, it’s questionable whether it’s a legal vehicle, because the design speed is higher but it’s factory-blocked. That’s why everyone should consider whether they really want to ride such a machine on public streets.

Riding comfort

Riding comfort on the ANGWATT CS1 Pro is very high. The suspension is great, and with our test weight of around 85 kg we had no issues with either stiffness or, on the contrary, excessive softness of the chassis. It works really well.

The hydraulic brake used is weaker, and it’s really just a basic setup—so you need to count on that. The display is a bit harder to read in sunlight, but it’s nothing too bad.

We were very positively surprised by the scooter’s performance. The motor is “only” 1500 W, but acceleration is more than sufficient and the scooter is truly nippy. If you’re willing to take the risk and unlock the speed, you’ll be able to get up to 60 km/h without any problems.

Power and speed

At the heart of the scooter is a 1500 W brushless motor, which can bring the scooter up to 50–60 km/h. The motor has enough power to handle climbs up to 30°, so it can handle hilly terrain too. Thanks to the 29 A controller, the start is stable and smooth, which increases both comfort and safety while riding.

Maximum load capacity reaches 120 kg, making this model suitable for most riders. Combined with 11-inch tubeless tires, the scooter offers stability and good contact with the road.

Battery and range

ANGWATT CS1 Pro comes with a 52 V 22.5 Ah lithium battery, providing a range of 65 to 85 km. That means you can handle longer routes on a single charge without needing to recharge. Charging with one adapter takes about 10 hours, so it’s best to charge the battery overnight.

The used battery is high quality (A-Grade cells), ensuring a longer lifespan and better resistance to wear. The manufacturer also notes that the e-scooter only has basic water resistance, so it should not be used in the rain or in water.

Safety and brakes

Ride safety is ensured by a triple-combined braking system – a front disc brake, a rear hydraulic brake, and an electronic brake. This system provides efficient and smooth stopping even at higher speeds.

The e-scooter is equipped with complete lighting equipment – a front LED headlight, side lighting, a rear light, and turn signals, improving safety when riding at night and in traffic.

Modern features and design

One standout feature is NFC unlocking, which is also supported by password unlocking. This provides better protection against theft. All important info like speed, battery status, or distance covered is shown on the central display with an NFC reader.

The scooter frame is made from a combination of steel and an aluminum alloy, making it robust while still keeping the weight reasonable at around 30 kg. Thanks to the folding mechanism, you can fold the scooter to dimensions of 132 × 68 × 60 cm and transport it in your car trunk.
