The Potensic Atom 2 drone also ended up in the hands of Czech reviewer GeekBoy, who compared it with competition from DJI. He especially praised the weight under 249 grams, the 3-axis gimbal, and the quality Sony sensor capable of capturing 4K video and 8K photos. He likes the battery life of about 30–32 minutes and the stated range of up to 10 km, even though in his tests it reached a real distance of roughly 3 km. He called the video quality “beautiful,” with sharp details and colors comparable to the DJI Mini 4 Pro, although sometimes issues with white balance and exposure show up.

As downsides, he mentioned weaker wind stability compared with DJI, the absence of obstacle-avoidance sensors, and higher noise. Object-tracking features are less reliable, and the controller using a smartphone display can overheat. Even so, GeekBoy recommends the Potensic Atom 2 as a budget-friendly alternative—ideal for beginners who want to learn to fly before investing in a more expensive drone.
