An automatic soap dispenser for the bathroom is incredibly practical and doesn’t have to be expensive at all. At home, we used a Xiaomi dispenser, but it had a major downside: you had to keep replacing the AA batteries. Even worse was refilling the soap—it was designed for single use, and removing the lid was a hassle; the lid often broke – it was basically a marketing gimmick. This cheap alternative, however, solves all the problems of the Xiaomi dispenser!

On our China Planet Facebook page, people regularly post their experiences with products, so be sure to join in too. A bunch of readers have already ordered the product and really like it. Of course, between the comments, we also found some negative feedback—Milan’s unit broke after 3 weeks. That can happen with cheap China-made products, but it’s easy to claim.
We use this dispenser ourselves for more than a year and it works very reliably! We’ve charged it about 3–4 times and the battery life is very decent. The biggest plus is that you don’t have to replace any alkaline batteries—just plug in the USB-C cable.
New grey version
On the AliExpress marketplace, we found the newest grey (or light grey) version of the dispenser—it looks really great. It’s a bit more expensive, but it’s worth it for the look. Below, you can also see a real photo from reviews.

We ordered the dispenser for testing—it’s great
Since we were previously using a Xiaomi battery-powered dispenser, which started to bother us, we decided to order this much cheaper dispenser from AliExpress—and we really did a good job. It dispenses soap in four modes, so users just need to set that parameter.
The biggest highlight is definitely USB-C charging and the practical way to refill the soap. Just unscrew the top part of the body and pour in the soap with water! With the Xiaomi dispenser, it doesn’t work like this: there you basically have to pry off the paste-like lid from the soap container.
The Xiaomi dispenser also had a problem with the tubing getting clogged, which disabled the whole device. We’ll see how long this automatic dispenser lasts, but in the box there’s also a container intended to solve this issue, so we expect it to last a long time.
Saves soap and it’s practical
This cheap automatic soap dispenser for the sensor, designed for touchless use, has a 380 ml capacity and also supports USB-C charging. For us, its biggest value is simply how easy it is to refill. Just unscrew the top part from the threads, then refill with soap and mix it with water.
We recommend filling the container with soap up to one third, and then dilute the rest with water. These dispensers need thinner soap so they can foam well. As a result, you save a lot of soap because it’s diluted—so it’s very practical, but also an economical helper.
It lasted a year, I don’t recommend it.

Could you please tell me how it works, what kind of soap goes into the foam dispenser? Is there a difference between soap for a liquid dispenser and a foam dispenser?
We had about 4 types of these dispensers (and this particular one too). All of them failed after some time (on average they lasted a little over a year). In most cases the little motor probably died, because when you put your hand near it the light turns on, but the motor is silent. We use balea soap from DM and dilute it in a 1:3 to 1:4 ratio. The problem may be that even after mixing, the thicker part settles a bit in the lower half. Still, these devices are so addictive that we bought another one (again a different model), for about EUR 10 I take it as a consumable… We’ll try regularly rinsing this new one with clean water; we didn’t do that before.
We’ve had this one from the article at home for over 2 years now, it’s heading toward its 3rd year, and it lasted longer than a Xiaomi dispenser that cost twice as much. We were probably also a bit lucky with a good piece, because it really gets used every day and works like a clock. The battery holds up great, for us it’s the best buy from AliExpress. 🙂
Yes, I divide the whole lower soap container in my mind into 1:3 and add maybe just a tiny bit more than 1 part of soap. It depends on the thickness of the liquid soap. I use the regular one from Tesco, Milk & Honey brand. If the tube is “glued up” with soap residue, I activate the soap dispenser flush function (I pour only water in for the flush). Then I dilute a fresh batch and mix it thoroughly with the back of a long latte spoon. I wipe the containers, connect them, and that’s it. I use it a few times until the new soap gets into the mechanism. The amount of foam is enough for me set to level 2. I’m starting to toy with the idea of using this soap dispenser in the kitchen instead of the Jar Instant Foam product, which mysteriously stopped being sold here. I dilute Jar for regular dishwashing anyway 🤭.
I noticed that some sellers have different versions – one makes foam and the other only dispenses soap. You need to watch out for that when ordering, although that may of course not be your case.

Thanks for the tip. The dispenser arrived over a month ago. It works perfectly with the optimal dilution of liquid soap with water, about 1:3. The battery lasts a long time, the dispensing setting is easy to adjust, it saves soap and it even looks good.. I hung it right above the sink. My wife says it’s a bit noisy, but I tell her she is much noisier :).. Good buy
