How is an antivirus program handled in computers like this? Is it included in Windows, or does it have to be purchased separately? If it’s included in Windows, how long is it paid for? Thank you
Hello, Windows includes the Defender antivirus. In the current versions, it’s quite sufficient. However, if you want more advanced protection against viruses, we recommend buying something like ESET.
Hello, I’m sure Defender will be enough for me. Is it included with Windows without a time limit, or do you have to pay for it again after a while?
Thank you
It’s part of the system without a time limit 🙂
31.7. 2023 …. it’s even cheaper now, with the coupon 23SUMMER2.
Thanks for the tip.

We updated the article, and thank you too for the tip 🙂
Good day, I’d like to ask about the BMAX mini PC. We’re looking for a home PC for everyday + work use (internet, gaming, MS Teams, writing texts in MS Word, MS Excel spreadsheets)….
This PC has Windows 11, so apart from MS Office (we’ll set that up), is it ready to use right away?
How is it, please, with possible returns/complaints (warranty claim)?
I’d also like to ask you if for the use you’re suggesting (for our needs) you can recommend any other PC—maybe a notebook.
Thank you very much and I wish you all the best
Bea
Good day, yes—Windows 11 is fully ready to use right out of the box; you just need to install the programs you use. This PC will be fully sufficient for your use—you don’t need anything better/more expensive. If you buy through our article and follow all the steps listed in the article, then in case of any problems we can assist you with the complaint/claim.
Thank you very much for the help. We were still waiting with the order. Now it’s available again with Intel i7, but only the BMAX B7 version is offered. So we’ll probably choose this option. Thanks again.
I’ve got it running already. So far exactly as described. Windows 11 is in English originally, and after the initial setup in English you need to download and set up the SK language.
In terms of performance it’s exactly as expected, and to my big surprise it’s completely silent. I haven’t tried heavy load, but during normal use I can’t hear it at all. The fan is completely silent.
For this price it’s simply a great machine. Total satisfaction.
Thank you very much for such a detailed reply and also for your experience.
Wishing you all the best 👍
I ordered the model with Core i7, but they don’t have it anymore. However, the one with Core i5 is OK in my opinion—I'd probably not risk the lower one.
I’ve been buying from Geekbuying for years, and I’ve never needed a return/refund or complaint. In my opinion, they maintain quality—that’s how I’d put it. There’s an option to pay extra for an EU return; I think then it’s easier to handle claims/complaints. It’s better to know English, and you also need to factor in that after 1 year the warranty might not cover it.
As for the purpose, then for everyday stuff it should be OK.
I’m just a bit worried that the fan will be more noticeable, especially when it’s under load.
It should arrive in about a week, so I’ll let you know.
As for gaming, though, this definitely isn’t a gaming PC. It will handle some games, barely from around 2015, games from around 2012 and older should be fine. More info in the link below—right at the very bottom there’s an overview of which games it can handle.

In my opinion, the price/performance ratio here is great.
As for the question whether to get a PC or a notebook, that’s a broad topic.
For this miniPC you need a monitor, speakers, a microphone, and if necessary, also a camera—everything is already included in the notebook. Plus there’s a battery, so it’s protected against power loss. On the other hand, a similar NB has to be counted with a higher price.
That’s for another forum.
If I don’t forget, I’ll write the info here when it arrives.
