Finally find out whether that discount is actually a real deal. We’re launching the reborn Deal Planet, our biggest project for shopping from China

Bargain shopping from Chinese stores on China Planet is our daily mission. We go through AliExpress, Banggood, Geekbuying, Gshopper, and DHgate, test new coupon codes, and track how prices move. But the longer we do it, the more one thing annoyed us: everything important you need to know before you buy is scattered across ten different places.

So in the last few months—alongside our usual editorial work—we built something much bigger. It’s called Deal Planet, and it’s a tool that tracks prices, coupons, warehouses, and even individual product versions practically for you.

Deal Planet is free and works on mobile like an app

You’ll find it at dealplanet.sk, and you don’t have to pay anything for it. It runs right in your browser, so you don’t install anything from an app store. On your smartphone, you can add it to your home screen and then open it like a regular app—with its own icon and a dark mode.

The catalog, prices, and coupons don’t require any registration. You only need an account if you want personalized features like product tracking, price alerts, comments, or store reviews.

Why did we even get into this?

If you shop in China, you know this carousel. The code that crashed the price by €20 yesterday is already sold out today. The same vacuum is sold by four different sellers, and each one has a different price, different warehouse, and different shipping. Then there’s the Chinese version that looks like a great deal—until you find out what’s missing. And that big “−40%” won’t tell you anything about the real value.

We wanted a place where you don’t just see today’s price, but also the context around it. How much did the product cost a month ago? Was it cheaper at any point? Is it sitting in a European warehouse by chance? Is there a better code for it? Deal Planet should answer these questions before you click the Buy now button.

EU warehouses are more convenient than ever

We’ve dedicated a separate section to European warehouses. When it launched, it already featured more than 5,200 offers, and you can filter them by warehouse country, brand, category, price, and even the specific store. Plus, products shipped from Europe are clearly marked right in the regular catalog, so you can spot them at a glance.

The reason is simple. Goods that are already in the EU don’t require import customs duties or customs clearance, and they typically reach you in about three to ten days. After customs changes effective from July 2026, this applies even more so—especially for cheaper items, where it can be twice as good. In the offers, you’ll find warehouses in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Spain, or France.

Cheap gadgets from EU warehouses have their own section

We paid special attention to cheap gadgets priced up to about €50 that ship directly from Europe. Among them you’ll find small household and car items, accessories for electronics, chargers, cables, organizers, and smart home must-haves—exactly the kind of stuff we love to discover on China Planet.

For cheap items, there’s not much point waiting three weeks for a shipment from China and dealing with extra fees on top. That’s why in the cheap gadgets section you’ll only find what’s already in the EU. We keep adding offers continuously, and it’s also from here that we regularly pick tips for our social media and newsletter.

Is it really a discount? The chart will tell you—not the red percentage.

We take marketing percentages with a grain of salt long-term, which is why each product has its own price history chart. You can see for how much the same item was sold in recent weeks and months, as well as where its current minimum and maximum were.

So when an online shop claims the product is down by 40%, but it was the same price two weeks earlier before the sale, you’ll see it immediately on the chart. And vice versa—if the curve drops to a historical low, you know the offer is worth your attention. As months go by, this feature will only get more useful.

There are over 2,500 coupons—trying them all is optional

Coupons have been part of China Planet practically from the beginning, so it would be a shame if Deal Planet didn’t have them. The database contains more than 2,500 active codes—universal sale codes, codes from specific stores and sellers, and coupons valid only for selected countries.

For every product, the system recalculates which available code delivers the biggest savings and shows it first. If it doesn’t work, you’ll find alternatives right below. You can copy the code in one click, and you can report an invalid coupon—when more people do it, the database gets cleaned up for everyone.

AliExpress coupons also have their own page

For AliExpress, we’ve also prepared a separate coupons page where codes are available year-round and we update them on an ongoing basis. There you can clearly see which country the code applies to and from what cart total you can use it.

During big sales, the best promo codes show up here first, so it’s worth keeping the page handy. You’ll also find a countdown to the end of the current promotion, so you don’t miss the moment when the coupons are at their strongest.

Search handles Slovak as well as a pasted URL address

Product names in Chinese stores are a chapter all on their own. Instead of a simple label, you get a multi-line string full of marketing adjectives that doesn’t make much sense even in English. So in Deal Planet, feel free to type "handheld vacuum cleaner" or "kitchen sink" into the search in Slovak, and the system will try to find relevant offers.

Our own automated tools handle processing of names, keywords, and categorization—so you don’t need to know the exact English name from the web shop. Then you can narrow the results down with filters by brand, store, price, or warehouse country.

Do you have a product open in the web shop? Copy its link

Even more useful is product search via the URL address. When someone drops an interesting offer into a Facebook group, you’ll spot it on social media or you may have it open in the store—just paste the full link into the search field on Deal Planet.

It works across all supported stores — AliExpress, Banggood, Geekbuying, Gshopper, and DHgate. If we have that offer in our database, you’ll be taken straight to its details page with price history, coupons, variants, and warehouse info. So you don’t have to dig through an endlessly long list of meaningless names.

Each memory version can have a different price

Tracking only the product name isn’t enough. A phone with 8 + 256 GB might be on sale, while the 12 + 512 GB version stays at the original price. That’s why Deal Planet tracks more than 15,000 specific variants, and it treats memory, size, and version separately.

The same goes for coupons. A code that’s perfect for a cheaper variant may not be the best deal for a more expensive configuration, because many codes apply only from a certain amount. That’s why the post-coupon price is calculated for the specific offer—not the whole product in general.

Chinese version? You’ll find out before you even go to the shop

We’re constantly working on Chinese smartphone versions at China Planet. They can be significantly cheaper, but buyers should know what they’re getting into. That’s why Deal Planet will show a notice for identified Chinese models even before you head to the web shop.

That way, you can quickly verify differences in the system, Google services, supported bands, or eSIM. We’re not saying the Chinese version is a bad purchase—we test and use these kinds of devices ourselves. The only thing that matters is knowing which compromises come with the lower price.

A price alert guards the amount for you

If you’re waiting for a specific item to get cheaper, you don’t need to open AliExpress every day. Save the product to your tracked list, set a target price, and Deal Planet will notify you as soon as the offer drops to that level.

This is most worth it for more expensive electronics and during big sales, when the product often hits a record price for only a few hours. That’s when it matters whether you’ll hear about the discount in time—or only from comments under our article.

We want to build reviews of Chinese shops on your experience

One section of Deal Planet is almost empty for now—and that’s completely intentional. We launched community reviews of shops AliExpress, Banggood, Geekbuying, Gshopper and DHgate and we want the first ratings to come from people who actually ordered from them.

You can add a rating from one to five stars, write about your experience, include information about what you bought, and even upload up to three photos. Others can mark the review as helpful. We’re especially interested in real delivery times, the seller’s communication, how claims/refunds are handled, and whether the version of the product you received is truly the one that was ordered.

You can also discuss things directly under the products

Besides rating the shops themselves, we added comments under individual products. You can ask about a specific model, point out a non-working code, share your experience, or upload your own product photo after delivery. Replies in threads work too, and you can rate the comments.

From this part, we’d like to build a big community database over time. Imagine a detailed vacuum cleaner, scooter, or phone page—where besides price and a chart, you’ll also find people’s real experiences, a real photo of the package, and a note on how long the shipment took.

And we’re not stopping here—we’re preparing another big thing

By launching Deal Planet, the work doesn’t end. At the same time, we’re finishing a brand-new expansion for your internet browser, which will be closely connected to Deal Planet. We’re still testing it for now, so we don’t want to reveal all the features yet.

However, we can at least say this: the goal is to bring useful information right at the moment when you’re shopping in a Chinese online store. We believe it’ll be one of the most interesting things we’ve built for our community so far. A separate introduction will come as soon as everything is ready.

How is Deal Planet funded?

Deal Planet is free for you. We fund the project through affiliate links to individual shops—if you buy through us, the shop may pay us a small commission. The product price doesn’t go up for you in any way.

With this model, we can pay for servers, collect price data, expand the catalog, and develop new features. We want to stay transparent, so we show the affiliate link information right at the moment you leave for the shop.
