The upcoming Honor 400 Pro 5G smartphone won’t be just an ordinary mid-range device, because it impressed us not only with its camera, but even more with brutal AI features that everyone of us will be able to try soon! Among the TOP features is definitely AI image enlargement, object erasing, edge enlargement—but most of all AI image-to-video, which works really brutally!

Even though the official launch of the Honor 400 Pro is planned for May 22, 2025, you can already find the phone directly on the Honor manufacturer’s website. So by now we already know everything about the phone—on this date we’ll only learn its price.

Brutal AI features in mid-range

On board, you’ll find Android 15 with MagicOS 9, a powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a 200MP main camera with optical stabilization. But what’s most interesting is hidden in the software package—a bundle of AI tools that turns this phone into an art studio in your pocket.

Honor 400 Pro comes with several AI-powered tools that can fundamentally change the way you process your memories. The feature that deserves the most attention is AI Image-to-Video, which can turn a single static photo into a dynamic video lasting five seconds.

Other strong tools are:

  • AI Eraser – removes unwanted objects from photos completely automatically
  • AI Upscale – boosts the resolution of old or blurry shots
  • AI Outpainting – intelligently expands the photo edges as if the picture were bigger than originally

Bring your old memories to life

Imagine you have an old childhood photo—maybe a bit blurry or with cropped edges. With AI Upscale, the Honor 400 Pro can enhance it to higher resolution, then using AI Outpainting fill in the missing parts, and finally, through AI Image-to-Video turn it into a short, living video. The result? A photo that moves like it was filmed yesterday. An ideal tool for reviving family memories or digitally restoring archived photos.

You can see this feature in the video below starting from the 38th second:

This comprehensive AI workflow runs directly on the smartphone system and is supported by cloud technologies, which enables generating outputs without the need for advanced software or a powerful computer.

Portraits and picture quality in every situation

Honor 400 Pro isn’t only about AI. Hardware-wise, it’s a serious contender for Photographer/Camera Phone of the Year. The triple rear camera offers a combination of a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. Even the front camera has a high-resolution 50MP sensor, complemented by a 2MP depth sensor for better selfies.

Day photos look very natural, and—most importantly—without unnecessary AI filters or artificial contrast. Night shots are surprisingly sharp, with reduced noise and no blur of moving objects. The ultra-wide sensor maintains good quality even in weaker lighting—which isn’t always the case even with more expensive models.

Hardcop portrait mode & aesthetics

The “Hardcop” portrait mode comes with plenty of filters and effects that give your portraits character and style. Skin smoothing may look more aggressive at first glance, but Honor lets you fine-tune it to match the user’s taste. The results are striking, cinematic, and still very usable—for example on social media or professional profiles.

Even though these AI filters make it look like a real photo studio, you still have control over the result—something you often can’t say about the competition.

Additional specifications of the Honor 400 Pro phone

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, the official unveiling is scheduled for 22.5.2025, but we already know all of its specifications and even its design. However, what we noticed is this — the phone is also listed on the pages of the Slovak operator O2, and in the specs there it only shows a 5300 mAh battery. That probably means that for us Europeans it will be available with a likely smaller battery again instead of the larger 6000 mAh.

Based on the O2 operator, we can also know the smartphone’s price already now! It’s currently set at €792 for the 12 + 512 GB version. We’ll be surprised to see how the prices are set on the official sites or by other sellers.
