Narwal Freo X Ultra and X Plus deliver top-level performance, with the fan reaching speeds of up to 60,000 RPM, complemented by a U-shaped air channel that optimizes airflow.
The suction power of 8,200 Pa on the X Ultra model and 7,800 Pa on the X Plus ensures thorough vacuuming even of deeply embedded dirt between carpet fibers.
Innovative dust compression system – up to 7 weeks without emptying waste
Compared to traditional models that require frequent emptying of the dirt bin, Freo X Ultra and Plus use a sophisticated dust compression system capable of handling up to 49 days of dirt without any human intervention.
How it works? The vacuum sucks dirt from the floor through a vacuum channel into a container, where it is compressed and filtered through a HEPA filter.
Dust bin – disposable bag or plastic container
The Narwal Freo X Ultra takes this concept even further with two options for storing dry waste. The first is a disposable bag system with a capacity of 1 liter, which is the cleanest and most convenient choice. This bag can collect dust for 7 weeks, which you can then simply dispose of together with the bag.
The alternative is a reusable plastic container with the same capacity. While this solution is not as dust-free as a bag system, it lets you manually clean the container after it’s filled. Thanks to the new waste-compression system that effectively reduces the volume of dust, dirt, and hair, maintenance for both options is significantly simplified.
The world’s first no-tangle brush
Both models feature a silicone brush called the “floating brush”. That means the brush is not rigidly fixed to the vacuum’s body, allowing it to easily adapt to any unevenness on the surface you’re vacuuming.
Anyone with pets knows how challenging it can be to remove tangled hair from a vacuum cleaner brush. A breakthrough would be the solution to this problem that Narwal has implemented in its new models in the form of the world’s first no-tangle brush.
This roller brush (whose technology is certified by SGS and TÜV) can capture 99.56 % of hair without it getting tangled in the brush. It’s designed and positioned to create airflow that helps prevent tangling. The brush bristles are set at an angle of 50° and the brush has a conical shape, helping ensure that all hair is swept from one end to the other and sucked directly into the dust bag without getting tangled in the brush.
DirtSense technology and mopping with pressure
DirtSense technology is a new approach to mopping, where artificial intelligence and optical sensors analyze the water quality in real time. This analysis includes precise measurement of the water color and the number of dirt particles.
If the robot vacuum detects a higher level of contamination, it automatically switches to deep-cleaning mode, where it works intensively to remove it. The process continues until the sensors detect an improvement or the water is clean again. This intelligent system ensures the vacuum doesn’t leave a dirty spot until it’s clean again.
The Narwal Freo X Ultra model is equipped with Reuleaux triangular mops. These mops apply pressure 7-12 newton downward and rotate at 180 revolutions per minute, ensuring deeper, more thorough cleaning of surfaces. What’s interesting is that the X Ultra doesn’t have a built-in water tank in the body. Instead, the vacuum returns to the docking station during cleaning, which handles cleaning and wetting the mops.
On the other hand, the more cost-effective X Plus model doesn’t use rotating mops, but a static mop that applies half the pressure 6 N. This model wets the mop using a system with 4 tubes for even wetting of the mop. The X Plus model has a tank with a capacity of 280 ml, which is enough to clean an area up to 446 m2.
Both models use EdgeSwing mode during cleaning. It’s designed so the robot vacuum can effectively clean corners and areas along the walls. This movement automatically turns the vacuum back and forth, allowing it to thoroughly clean these hard-to-reach spots. And when EdgeSwing is combined with the Reuleaux mop shape (X Ultra model), the robot can cover a 40 % larger area along walls and corners than a standard robot vacuum.
Cleaning dock station
When the vacuum finishes cleaning, that’s where the Freo X Ultra’s dock station is where the magic happens. After every cleaning cycle, the mops in the dock are washed with warm water and treated with a cleaning solution until the DirtSense sensors determine they’re completely clean.
The station has large tanks: 4.5 l for fresh water and 4.05 l for dirty water, plus a 930 ml bottle with cleaning solution. The mops are dried at 40°C and the dust bag is air-dried for 45 minutes. Thanks to the moisture sensors, the mop is prepared to the ideal humidity before the next cleaning.
Thanks to filtration of 99% of dirt and the station’s antibacterial properties, mops won’t smell after they’re cleaned. The whole dock is designed so you won’t need any human intervention for as long as possible. The dock is also quieter because it doesn’t require the vacuum to be emptied, and it doesn’t need manual cleaning of the mops either. That means the mops stay hygienically clean.
Narwal provides an automatic water-exchange system, allowing you to directly connect the dock station to the main water supply and the wastewater drain for seamless automation.
Avoiding obstacles even without cameras
Narwal robotic vacuum cleaners Freo X Ultra and Freo X Plus move through the space efficiently, and to protect privacy, they do so without using cameras. Navigation 360 degrees and obstacle avoidance are ensured with a three-laser light and the advanced LiDAR SLAM 4.0 system.
Infrared sensors let the vacuums avoid obstacles with precision using a 5 mm-large object at least 1 cm high, such as children’s toys. And reviews of both models point out that the vacuums can recognize stairs, which minimizes the risk of falling.
The app offers everything you’re used to
The Narwal Freo app lets you easily control the robotic vacuum cleaner and create detailed 3D maps of your home for up to 4 different floors. It also lets you define areas where cleaning shouldn’t happen (forbidden No-Go zones) and set up automatic deep cleaning for places that haven’t been cleaned in more than a week.
During the first start-up, the vacuum scans the space to identify rooms and types of floors. It also allows users to adjust the map in the app to their needs, including merging or splitting rooms.
Through the app, users can further schedule cleaning (choose between vacuuming, mopping, or both at once). The app includes an overview of the status of all vacuum cleaner components. You can also control the robot by voice via Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or Siri Shortcuts.

Hi, I received the Narwal Freo X Plus today. Everything seems to be OK, but I can’t figure out how to connect it to the Google Assistant. In the app menu version 2.5.5, there’s only Alexa, even though you state that it also supports Google Home. Since my whole home is set up with Google, this feature is very important to me.
