The Chinese company Huawei is trying to improve its position in both the European and global markets. This got worse mainly after the ban on using Google services, and many users moved away from the company.
However, now the Chinese giant wants to bring Huawei Y6p and Y5p super-affordable smartphones with attractive specs, as well as the already disappearing product — the MatePad T8 tablet.
Huawei MatePad T8
This tablet was supposed to carry the name of the original MediaPad series, but Huawei moved it to the MatePad lineup. The T8 model will be the third tablet in this product range right after the MatePad Pro 5G and MatePad 10.4.
It should feature an 8″ LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. In the tablet segment, that would make it a smaller device, better suited for carrying around.
Inside, it should run on a MediaTek MTK8768 chipset, with 2 GB RAM and 16/32 GB storage, plus a 5100 mAh battery. Up front, there could also be a 2 MPx selfie camera, and on the back a 5 MPx one. It will run on EMUI 10.0.1.
Huawei Y6p
According to leaked photos, we already know for sure that this smartphone will have a notch on the display, a fingerprint sensor on the back along with three cameras. The display should be 6,3″ with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px.
The front camera could be 8 MPx, while the back will have a 19 MPx main sensor, a 5 MPx ultra-wide sensor, and a 2 MPx depth-of-field sensor. So it’s going to be a more affordable camera setup.
A MediaTek Helio P22 processor will be used together with 3 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage. The battery could come with a solid capacity of 5000 mAh. The system will be EMUI 10 on the Android 10 platform.
It should be available in three colors: emerald green, purple, and black. The starting price could be capped at 165 €, which is really low.
Huawei Y5p
A slightly cheaper and less powerful smartphone could come with a 5,45″ display and a 5 MPx selfie camera on the front. A display size up to 6″ is already almost a rarity these days, so some smartphone fans will definitely appreciate the screen size.
On the back, based on the image, there will be a quad-arrangement dual 8 MPx camera setup in a square, while inside the Helio P22 processor, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage, and a 3200 mAh battery should run. A micro SD card slot will most likely be included.
Just like the previous devices, it will run on the EMUI 10 system. The starting price of this model should be 125 €.
