Beautiful design and finishes
We can notice really beautiful color finishes, especially in the base version in “Interstellar Glow”. On the photo below, you can enjoy it to the fullest.
The camera layout is the same as on the OnePlus 7 Pro or 7T Pro, with the logo underneath it. In front, there’s a bezel-less display with curved sides and a cutout for the front camera.
Incredibly smooth displays
Both versions have a beautiful AMOLED panel with a fast refresh rate. 8 Pro even offers up to 120 Hz, 6.78-inch with WQHD+ resolution, which is 1440 x 3168 px.
OnePlus 8 features 90 Hz, 6.55″ with a 1080 x 2400 px resolution and a pixel density of 402 ppi. The Pro version even beat 13 display quality records in tests and earned a DisplayMate A+. rating
Snapdragon 865 and 5G
Of course, this year’s smartphones can’t miss the top-notch Snapdragon 865 with the graphics chip Adreno 650. This processor natively supports 5G technology.
System performance is also handled by LPDDR5 RAM together with UFS 3.0 storage.
48 MPx camera and 4K video
OnePlus 8 Pro finally got a camera worthy of a flagship. The main Sony IMX689 sensor has 48 MPx and is considered one of the best on the market. It also includes a 48 MPx Sony IMX586 ultrawide sensor, 8 MPx sensor with a 3x zoom, and a 5 MPx color filter sensor.
The base version received the previously mentioned 48 MPx Sony IMX586. as the main sensor. This is complemented by a 16 MPx ultrawide camera with a 116° field of view and a 2 MPx macro sensor.
The selfie camera is the same on both, with 16 MPx and the Sony IMX471 Exmor RS. sensor.
Both smartphones handle 4K video with optical and electronic stabilization.
8 Pro with 30W wireless charging
This year you can also look forward to fast 30 W wireless charging for the OnePlus 8 Pro model, along with 3 W reverse charging. It also includes 30 W cable charging, which the base OnePlus 8 model has as well.
The Pro version has a larger battery with 4510 mAh, while the base version comes with a slightly more modest 4300 mAh.
NFC, haptic vibrations, stereo speakers
Among the interesting features of the eighth generation of OnePlus, there’s definitely haptic vibration, which fans also loved on previous smartphones.
There’s also NFC or stereo speakers. The phone offers high-quality surround sound using both speakers. It also supports the Wi-Fi 6 standard.
The OnePlus 8 Pro even received an IP68 certification, making it officially resistant to water and dust.
