OPPO Band: The band has appeared with a seller on Tmall and on the official website of the manufacturer. The sales launch in June

The company OPPO is preparing its new fitness band under the label OPPO Band. It could go on sale as early as during the month of June, especially for the domestic, Chinese market.

The upcoming product has already shown up on the first websites of local sellers. Specifically, we’re talking about sellers Tmall and JD, but sales information has also appeared on the official website of the Chinese manufacturer.

OPPO Band: As early as June 2020

A few days ago, the company OPPO revealed the OPPO Band EVA Limited Edition band along with other accessories in this edition. It’s an edition celebrating the 25th anniversary of the anime titled Neon Genesis Evangelion.

It might seem like this is entirely the first information about the upcoming fitness band. However, that’s not true—the manufacturer showed the standard version already last week, and the product is already listed on the official manufacturer website as well as on the websites of local sellers TMall and Jingdong (JD).

Technical specifications are not known yet

The sites mentioned so far have not revealed any technical specifications, but we do already know the design of the standard version, which is available from promotional posters.

From multiple photos, we can see that there will be two strap versions available. The black version will offer a silicone strap attached directly to the band following the pattern of competing models; the pink version also includes a bezel/frame around the band where the strap is mounted.

It’s likely that the upcoming OPPO Band will be charged with a dedicated charger that uses the pins on the bottom of the device’s construction. In addition, the images show no visible USB connector for charging.

Based on the available information, we also know there will be a sleep tracking feature. However, it should be a very simple fitness band that, according to JD’s seller information, shouldn’t support touch controls and should also lack enhanced water resistance. On the other hand, we can expect a low price.
