Packaging contents & quality

The JIMMY H10 Flex stick vacuum was delivered to us by DPD courier in a box measuring 74.5 x 25.5 x 18.7 cm, with a total package weight of 5.7 kg. The product box was wrapped in several layers of transparent film, protecting it at least from dirt and scratches. However, it prefers double packaging into a second box.

Inside, you’ll find the vacuum itself along with a range of accessories. So the packaging is really rich, and each part is individually wrapped in a nylon bag, placed in its spot in the polystyrene. All parts were completely free of damage, so we assess the packaging quality positively.

As for the accessories, the manufacturer includes one battery, the main wand with a joint, an electric floor head, a smaller electric head for sofas and mattresses, a bristle attachment for upholstery, a crevice nozzle for less accessible areas, a brush, a connecting connector, a rotating brush for carpets, a charger, and a wall-mount stand with wall plugs and screws.

The package is truly packed, since you’ll find attachments and heads for different types of objects and spaces to vacuum.

Main differences from the Jimmy H10 Pro

At first glance, these vacuums look very similar, but once you look at the specifications, it’s clear that the H10 Flex is the cheaper version. It has smaller 2500 mAh battery cells compared to 3000 mAh and it lacks the large plastic charging stand. Suction performance, appearance, and other accessories are identical.

Build quality and design

You can recognize JIMMY stick vacuums at first sight, because most of them have a design that’s characteristic for this brand. In many cases, these vacuums are colorful, which may not suit everyone. Personally, we don’t really like the purple and various other vivid colors, so we’re very glad that in this case the manufacturer stuck with neutral gray.

This vacuum cleaner looks very elegant, unlike some other colorful combinations that seem cheap at first glance. The vacuum is made of plastic, and since this is one of the top models from the brand, the build quality is at a good level. The seams between the different accessory parts have some play, but it’s not a defect.

The main unit we hold in our hand when vacuuming includes a dirt container with a filter, a battery, control buttons, and a display. The main wand to which the floor nozzle attaches is 63 cm long, and in the middle you’ll find a joint with a flexible tube inside—more on that in the next chapter.

Flexible joint for less accessible places

Perhaps the biggest drawback of many stick vacuum cleaners is their difficulty cleaning less accessible areas—for example under the sofa, beside cabinets, or under the bed. Most vacuums have a fixed wand and a rather large body, which makes it impossible to position it completely horizontally to the floor.

JIMMY solves this problem with a joint in the metal rod, inside which there is a flexible tube. To bend the joint, just press the button on its underside, which releases the joint.

The maximum bend angle in this joint is 90°. To return it to the original position, just straighten the wand and the lock will automatically click into place.

Motor, suction power, modes, and noise level

A brushless motor rated at 600 W provides the power for the JIMMY H10 Flex stick vacuum. With it, the vacuum can reach a maximum suction power of 245 AW (AW = Air Watt), which places it among the most powerful vacuums on the market.

Unfortunately, for this model the manufacturer does not specify suction power in Pa. Since there’s no direct conversion between AW and Pa, we can’t estimate how many Pa the new model has. Since the predecessor JIMMY H9 Pro has a suction strength of 25,000 Pa at 200 AW and the Dreame T20 also reaches 25,000 Pa at 150 AW, there’s no simple cross-mapping.

As for the modes, you can choose from four. Specifically, there’s Eco, Turbo, Max, and it also includes an automatic mode. In that mode, the vacuum automatically adjusts the power based on how dirty the floor surface is and the material it’s made of.

The noise level during vacuuming is fairly high. In Eco mode it’s about 72 dB, in Turbo mode 74 dB, and in Max mode 76 dB.

Floor nozzle and cleaning quality

In the box, you’ll find a standard electric floor nozzle, in which a roller brush spins. The manufacturer even includes an additional rotating brush for carpets, with a different surface.

The one in the floor nozzle has fine bristles across the entire surface, while the other has rubber bristles only in the form of thinner strips along the whole roller.

Another bonus is the fairly strong LED lighting at the front of the floor nozzle. That’s very useful, because with this type of illumination you can clearly see dust and other dirt on the floor.

So what’s the cleaning quality like? In one word—excellent. We’ve been using the Dreame T20 stick vacuum in our home for a while; it has 150 AW suction power, but compared to it, the JIMMY H10 Flex is significantly better.

A short demonstration of floor cleaning in automatic mode:

It handles different types of dirt without any issues, from everyday dust to crumbs, small stones, or sand from a playground that kids bring into the apartment in their shoes. The suction power makes us extremely satisfied.

Battery and runtime on one charge

The battery consists of eight cells with 2500 mAh each. The manufacturer states the runtime on one charge when using the electric nozzle: 50 minutes in Eco mode, 18 minutes in Turbo mode, and 8 minutes in Max mode.

Without the electric attachments, the runtime changes only to 80 minutes in Eco mode and 22 minutes in Turbo mode. With maximum suction power, the runtime should be the same whether you use the electric attachments or not.

On its display, the vacuum shows not the battery capacity but the remaining time until it runs out. So we have no information about the current battery capacity at all—neither through a battery symbol nor in a percentage display. You always only see the time, how long you can still vacuum.

Since we use the stick vacuum mainly to clean floors with the electric floor nozzle, we tested the runtime with it. We started on the highest Max mode, where the vacuum even lasted longer than the manufacturer claims. Specifically, 9 minutes and 37 seconds, after which it switched to Turbo mode. In Turbo, it lasted another 3 minutes.

In Turbo mode, the vacuum ran out of battery in 17 minutes and 50 seconds; in Eco mode in 47 minutes; and in the automatic mode in 25 minutes and 49 seconds. In our flat, we have laminate floors, tiles, and one smaller rug in front of the couch, so most of the time we were cleaning hard flooring.

As for charging, this is one of the few negative things about this vacuum. It takes as long as about 4 hours and 15 minutes, which is quite a lot by today’s standards. The charger delivers a current of only 0.6 A. When you charge the battery in the vacuum, the charging progress is shown on the display as a percentage.

Ease of use and our other experiences

JIMMY H10 Flex weighs 4.3 kg and feels very comfortable in your hand. If you’re worried that such a vacuum might be heavy, don’t—there’s no way its weight feels like a burden when you’re vacuuming floors. It’s very easy to handle, helped by the quality wheels on the underside of the floor nozzle and the flexible joint that moves smoothly.

You’ll feel the extra weight more when vacuuming with the passive attachments, when you hold the vacuum in your hand. The main unit of the vacuum itself—without the stick and floor nozzle—weighs 1.9 kg with the battery.

We also really like the floor-nozzle lighting and the narrow attachment. This way you can not only vacuum even in the dark, but you can also clearly see dirt that you wouldn’t notice otherwise. Plus, which isn’t typical, the narrow attachment is flexible, so it really reaches many hard-to-access places.

Emptying the bin and maintenance

The dust and dirt container has a 600 ml volume and sits in the main unit in a horizontal position. Once it’s filled, you just need to empty this container using the grey button. Pressing it opens the container lid, and you can then pour out the dust.

However, the container can also be opened from the other side, from where we can remove the HEPA filter and the internal components. All of these parts are washable, and we recommend washing them from time to time and letting them dry thoroughly.

JIMMY H10 Flex: Final evaluation

JIMMY H10 Flex is a very interesting cordless stick vacuum. It delivers an exceptionally high suction power of 245 AW, a practical flexible joint in the main stick, and lots of accessories.

In the box, you’ll also find a rotating brush for carpets and a range of attachments. The main floor nozzle with an attachment for narrow spaces is even backlit, which helps you see dirt better. The narrow attachment is also flexible.

Overall, the vacuum is very easy to handle and the cleaning quality is excellent. We also appreciate the automatic mode, where the vacuum regulates suction power automatically.
