Pedal drive: 6–8 km/h and hands free
The heart of the kayak is a removable pedal module with a twin-blade propeller. According to the manufacturer, pedaling gets you up to 6 to 8 km/h, and the pedals work both forward and backward, so you can simply back out of a bad spot. Direction is controlled by the rudder, which you operate with a lever right next to the seat. In shallow water, it lifts up automatically.
The pedal module can be removed from the hull and the opening covered with the included transparent acrylic plate. Model-C then turns into a classic fishing board for paddling, and a paddle is included in the package. The third mode is electric — the manufacturer offers a motor fin that replaces the pedal module. However, the motor and battery are not included in this offer; on Banggood, the version with pedals is sold, and the electric kit has to be bought separately.
Swivel seat on a rail and gear for anglers
Comfort is handled by a seat with a backrest that rotates 360°, mounted on an 80 cm rail. You can move it forward or backward depending on your leg length or whether you’re pedaling or fishing. On deck, there’s a mount for an action camera, a spot for a navigation light for night fishing, and a measuring scale so you can check the size of your catch right away.
In the box, you’ll find two rod holders, a phone holder, a waterproof phone case, an anchor with rope, a paddle, a pump, two fins, a hook box, and even a sun hat. Everything packs into a wheeled bag, so there’s no need to carry anything on your back from the car to the water.
Drop stitch construction and load capacity up to 360 kg
The hull measures 335 × 122 × 15 cm and uses a drop stitch core made from double-layer PVC, inflated to 10 to 12 PSI. There are separate inflatable chambers on the sides with protective rails, and stabilizing fins on the bottom. According to the manufacturer, the maximum load capacity is 300 to 360 kg, so it can handle heavier gear in addition to the fisherman.
To be honest, inflatable doesn’t mean lightweight. The board itself weighs 16 kg, the pedal system another 11.5 kg, and the seat 2.5 kg, so in total it’s about 30 kg. Also keep in mind that inflating it to 12 PSI with a hand pump takes some time. There are no reviews on Banggood yet, but the manufacturer gives a two-year warranty on the boards. Always wear a life jacket while riding.
