Small phones aren’t dead yet. This is a line we in the editorial office say almost every year when some manufacturer finally brings a smartphone to market whose dimensions don’t match most of the market. Currently, such a smartphone has arrived from DOOGEE, and its Smini model is a small, powerful, and rugged alternative from the lower class compared to today’s traditional “phablets”.
Best price so far with an extra discount
DOOGEE Smini is currently on clearance at the seller Banggood in the EU version, where the only downside is the Hong Kong warehouse with a longer delivery time, however including VAT and customs fees. The seller also states shipping starts no later than March 7.

We recommend choosing Banggood Priority Shipping, where you won’t have to pay anything extra. Customs fees and any VAT will be handled by the seller for you. Shipping can be selected in the cart, after you enter the delivery address. Delivery with Banggood Priority Shipping usually takes about 15–20 days, but it may also take longer.
The “miniature” DOOGEE Smini comes in a body measuring 133 x 60 x 13.5 mm and weighing 155 g. It’s powered by an octa-core processor Mediatek Helio G99 clocked at 2.2 GHz and Android 13. There’s 8 GB DDR4X RAM with possible virtual expansion from storage by up to an additional 7 GB, plus generous 256 GB of internal storage with support for further expansion via SD card.
Secondary display, rugged body
However, the most important part of this small smartphone is of course the 4.5-inch qHD+ TFT display with a resolution of 480 x 1170 pixels. It won’t amaze anyone with resolution, but at a size under 5 inches it’s a good compromise.
The device also impresses with a customizable rear secondary display, which for adventurers shows useful data such as temperature, humidity, date, time, and battery information. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side button of the smartphone.
The main camera offers 50 MP, followed by a 2 MP macro with HDR and night mode support. The front sensor has an 8-megapixel resolution. DOOGEE Smini also ranks among the more rugged smartphones and features the certification IP68/IP69K for water and dust resistance, as well as the military standard MIL-STD-810H.
Given its size, the smartphone has a generous 3000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging via USB-C. Advantages also include two SIM card slots, or a combination of SIM and TF card, but the downside today is the lack of 5G, which is replaced by older 4G with support for Slovak bands.

It doesn’t matter how big the display is, but what matters is the total size of the phone—if they make a 4.5″ display, that’s fine, but if it has big bezels and the overall phone size is like with a 5.5″, then it’s no good, like a brick.
