Kugoo Kirin G2 Pro is an electric scooter with a solid frame

Offroad electric scooter KuKirin G2 Pro offers a sturdy frame made from an aluminum alloy. The scooter can also ride uphill with a climb angle of up to 20°. It also includes front and rear disc brakes (120 mm).

LCD display, 9″ tires, and a 15 Ah battery

The footboard space measures 541 x 182 millimeters, and the rider’s maximum load is 120 kilograms. The front has an LED light, and on the handlebars you’ll also find an LCD display (110 x 73 mm) for riding information.

The wheels are 9-inch, made of rubber and tubeless. The capacity of the integrated battery pack (48 V) is 15.6 Ah, and the resulting theoretical range is up to 55 kilometers on a single charge. Recharging takes place using the included charger (54.6 V) for about 7 – 8 hours.

In the fairly large retail packaging of this product, you’ll find the offroad electric scooter itself called KuKirin G2 Pro, along with original accessories from the manufacturer. Specifically, this includes a mains charger with a European plug, as well as a set of tools for attaching the handlebars or tires. There’s also a short user manual and the first setup instructions in English.

Changes in the 2024 version

Today, all sellers already have the upgraded 2024 version in their listings with several changes. The most noticeable ones are the larger 9″ tubeless wheels instead of the 8.5″ tires, added direction indicator lights, and a front mudguard. You can check all the changes in this picture.

Hello, I found it on AliExpress for an even bigger discount. After entering the autumn sales coupon “09FS50”, the price dropped by 50 €, and the seller also provides an additional 10 € coupon. Final price: 417 €. Link: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007594393786.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.21ef1802Fm6Pjx

Hi, what about the warranty—service and stuff like that?

Reply
Editorial staff Admin · 23 April 2024

Hello, the warranty is handled directly through the seller. If any part breaks or malfunctions, you can arrange that they send you a new part for free, and if possible, you can replace it yourself at home. If that isn’t possible, they have a service in Poland (Geekbuying), where you send the scooter and they repair it there.

Hi. Is it still possible to buy it for 438? I can’t use the code aed369.
And what will be better—G2 Pro or M4 Pro?

Does it have regenerative braking (rekuperation)? And do the other “G” models have it? Does it work with an app? G3 doesn’t. Does it have the same problematic accelerator? More like on/off?

Frederik Admin · 21 August 2023

The manufacturer doesn’t mention regenerative braking anywhere, so it probably doesn’t have it. No app. What do you mean by a problematic accelerator? We haven’t tested it, so we can’t comment on that.

The controller—the main control unit on the G3—was failing a lot on these scooters, same happened to me. The new one has a speed limiter: the old one went up to 57 km/h, while the new one only goes to 47 km/h. After 600 km, the rear shock absorber got loosened/banged up. The mounting of the rear arm after disassembly is on a plastic part that gets worn out over time—they saved on it.
