OnePlus has officially unveiled the long-awaited OnePlus 13T model on April 24, 2025 in China. This smartphone is among the most compact devices of today, but thanks to high-end hardware at the forefront with the Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 6260 mAh battery, it’s a flagship in a small body. The goal is to reach users who prefer a smaller phone, but don’t want to give up performance at the top-tier level.
Display and compact design
OnePlus 13T comes with a 6.32″ LTPO AMOLED display supporting 1 billion colors, a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision. The display has a 1216 x 2640 pixel resolution (460 ppi) and takes up to 94.1% of the device’s front area. Maximum brightness reaches 1600 nits in HBM mode, ensuring excellent readability even in bright light.
The body measures 150.8 x 71.7 x 8.15 mm and weighs only 185 g. It feels very premium thanks to the front glass panel and an aluminum alloy frame. OnePlus 13T is dust- and splash-resistant according to IP65. The phone supports Nano-SIM + Nano-SIM.
Flagship performance in a compact package
At the heart of the device is the latest chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (3 nm), with an octa-core CPU (2× 4.32 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix L + 6× 3.53 GHz Oryon V2 Phoenix M) and Adreno 830 graphics. Performance is comparable to big flagship phones, and the AnTuTu score exceeds 3 million points, making it one of the most powerful smartphones with a small display ever.

Internal storage can’t be expanded, but that’s compensated by a wide selection of capacities up to 1 TB. Cooling is handled by a multi-layer vapor chamber cooling system that maintains performance even during long gaming sessions or multitasking.
The cameras aren’t fully top-tier on the market
On the back there’s a pair of 50 MP sensors: a 50 MP main camera f/1.8 (24 mm, 1/1.56″, 1.0 µm) with OIS and PDAF, complemented by a 50 MP telephoto lens with an f/2.0 aperture and 2× optical zoom. The telephoto lens uses a 1/2.76″ sensor with 0.64 µm pixels, also with OIS and PDAF. The camera also offers a color spectrum sensor, HDR, and an LED flash. Video recording supports 4K@30/60fps, 1080p@30/60/240fps with gyro-EIS and OIS stabilization.
The front selfie camera has a 16 MP (f/2.4) sensor and supports HDR, panorama, and 1080p@30fps video. Unlike bigger models, Hasselblad support is missing. This shows that the manufacturer has clearly cut costs, or at least kept the camera specs so the device remains attractively priced.
A huge silicon battery
But where there was absolutely no cost cutting was the battery. The device is powered by a truly massive 6260 mAh Si/C Li-Ion battery, meaning it’s built using the latest technology. Charging is done via USB-C 2.0 with a power of 80 W SuperVOOC. Unfortunately, wireless charging is missing, which will surely disappoint more than one fan.
There’s also bypass charging, which is a feature that, while using the smartphone during charging (for example, while gaming), bypasses the battery and powers the device directly from the power source. That will definitely help save the battery and extend its lifespan. This large battery then provides the device with power for 24.5 hours of video playback and 9.2 hours of gaming.
Operating system and connectivity
The phone runs on Android 15 with ColorOS 15 on its home market in China. If we get a global model, you’ll of course see OxygenOS 15 on it. Features include:
- Wi-Fi 7 / dual-tri band, Wi-Fi Direct
- Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX HD and LHDC 5 support
- NFC, infrared port
- USB-C 2.0 OTG
- Satellite GPS positioning, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS, QZSS
The device has stereo speakers, but it lacks a 3.5 mm jack. The sensors include an in-display optical fingerprint reader, an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, compass, and a new feature – Circle to Search. The phone is missing the B20 telecommunications band used in Europe, which suggests this version is intended for China only.
Availability and price
In China, prices start at 3399 CNY (~€410) for the 12+256 GB version and go up to 4499 CNY (~€540) for the top configuration with 1 TB storage. Sales should officially start on April 30. Availability for the global market hasn’t been confirmed yet, but we really hope a global version will be announced as well.
This is a great compact smartphone with top-tier hardware, so it would be a shame if China kept it to itself. Since it lacks our main telecommunications band B20, the Chinese version won’t be usable in full capacity—just like it wasn’t the case with the last flagship model, OnePlus 13.

What a shame about that telephoto lens. That 2x won’t make such a big difference compared to the crop from the main sensor. They could’ve gone with an ultrawide instead.
