OnePlus Buds are set to arrive on July 21. New updates about the look and specifications were revealed

Recently, we informed you in an article about the new OnePlus Buds from OnePlus. Besides the name or the announcement date, we also learned a few new details about the specifications and design.

OnePlus has recently shared with us on its Twitter account the information where it confirms the name of the new earbuds. Fully wireless OnePlus Buds were originally supposed to be in the Bullet series, which also includes their 3 previous generations of wireless earbuds.

Along with the new name, the earbuds also got a new design. OnePlus will tell us more at the presentation, where they’ll be showcased in more detail. As early as July 21, a mid-range smartphone called OnePlus Nord should also arrive together with the new OnePlus Buds.

The company OnePlus released multiple versions of their wireless earbuds right away. They belonged to the series Bullet, mainly because of their design. All 3 generations had the same design, where a short cable connected one earbud to the other.

So it wasn’t true wireless earbuds like with the upcoming OnePlus Buds. This time, the new OnePlus earbuds should be more similar to the design of Airpods from Apple.

At least initially, the new OnePlus Nord smartphone won’t be available worldwide, but only in certain markets. The OnePlus Buds earbuds, however, are expected to reach more markets, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

A great move by OnePlus

Wireless earbuds are currently having a big success. They’re especially popular for their comfort and the absence of the 3.5 mm audio jack, which you rarely see on today’s smartphones.

So the question remains whether OnePlus will bring something new and original to the market, or simply add more classic wireless earbuds.

OnePlus Buds specs and design

The CEO of OnePlus Carl Pei wrote on his blog some interesting information about the new earbuds. A closer look at the design shows a sort of combination of the OnePlus Bullet and Apple Airpods.

So far, only the black color has been revealed, but in an interview with MKBHD they were also shown in turquoise blue. This perfectly matches the new OnePlus Nord smartphone.

Besides the design, some specifications were also disclosed. The OnePlus Buds are said to offer up to 7 hours of battery life per charge, while the charging case can fully recharge the earbuds up to 3 times. The earbuds weigh 4.6 g, and the case itself only 36 g.

Fast Warp Charge charging

The new earbuds should also come with the Warp Charge charging technology. The case should charge in just 10 minutes and provide the earbuds with up to 10 hours of audio playback. No special cable or adapter will be needed for the quick Warp Charge charging.

Any charger with a power of 10 W or more can handle charging a 430 mAh battery at 5 V / 1.5 A completely without any problems or without any damage.
