Are you a fan of powerful gaming smartphones? Then we’ve got great news for you. The Chinese manufacturer REDMAGIC is bringing a new smartphone REDMAGIC 6S Pro. In its lineup, it offers up to 18 GB RAM and also the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G processor, a 4500 mAh battery, and 120W ultra-fast charging.
REDMAGIC 6S Pro: 750 Hz sampling rate
The new smartphone REDMAGIC 6S Pro comes with dimensions of 169.86 x 77.19 x 9.5 millimeters. The weight is slightly higher—this powerful gaming setup asks for 215 grams. The main attraction of this smartphone is a 6.8″ AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels). The screen delivers high contrast of 10,000,000 : 1, a high refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, and a very high sampling rate of up to 750 Hz.
Under the display you’ll find a fingerprint reader with an integrated heart-rate sensor. There’s also the DC Dimming technology for dimming the screen’s blue light. On the performance side, you get a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G processor. Depending on the configuration, it can be paired with up to 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
64 MP camera, 4500 mAh battery, and 120W charging
Gaming performance is cooled by the built-in ICE 7.0 technology. This includes multi-stage cooling, including a graphene system, an aluminum frame, an active fan running at 20,000 RPM, RGB backlighting, and a thermal conductive gel.
The main camera here is 64 MP (wide lens), additionally complemented by an 8 MP sensor (ultra-wide lens) and a 2 MP sensor (macro lens). The front camera, following the predecessor, offers 8 MP resolution. The smartphone comes with Android 11 alongside the manufacturer’s custom UI (it also includes a gaming mode, a game library, wired and wireless connections to screens, and custom device themes).
The connectivity of this smartphone includes 5G support, Dual-SIM, Wi‑Fi 6e, as well as Bluetooth 5.1, an NFC chip for mobile payments, GPS technologies, GLONASS and Beidou, and also the traditional sensor set like a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, etc. Gamers will also appreciate the stereo speakers with support for DTS X: Ultra and responsive capacitive gaming buttons.
A 3.5 mm audio connector is also available for connecting wired headphones. Inside this device, you’ll find a 4500 mAh battery that you can charge with ultra-fast 120W wired charging via a USB Type-C connector.
Price and availability of the gaming smartphone
The new REDMAGIC 6S Pro is coming in three color versions: Shining Black, Star White, and the Transparent Edition. The Shining Black and Star White versions will be available in a configuration with 8 / 12 GB RAM, and the Transparent Edition version will follow with 12 / 16 / 18 GB RAM. In addition, the manufacturer has prepared a limited edition Tencent Games Battlefield Camouflage Limited Edition, including accessories.

You can currently pre-order the smartphone in China, with the local sales launch scheduled for September 9, 2021. Following the predecessor model REDMAGIC 6 Pro, we also expect the new 6S Pro to be available globally. However, the date of the global announcement is not known yet.
