As outdoor temperatures slowly but surely rise, we’re starting our testing of interesting electric scooters with the cycling and e-scooter season. Our first for this year is the KuKirin G2 Master.
In our detailed review, we’ll again take a close look at the technical specs, build quality, controls, riding comfort, and last but not least, we’ll test the battery range on a single charge.

Packaging contents & quality
The KuKirin G2 Master electric scooter was delivered to us by the GLS courier in a box measuring 129 x 28.7 x 63 cm. It was also secured with a pair of straps, but the overall package weight is as much as 39 kg, which indicates it’s definitely not a small, lightweight scooter.
We appreciate the double packaging, meaning the scooter was packed in two boxes. We’re glad the manufacturer chose this kind of packaging, because the outer box was quite visibly damaged in places.
Inside, the scooter is stored in a folded position in molded polystyrene. Unfortunately, many of those pieces were broken and shattered, so we had polystyrene scattered all over the box and the scooter. Unpacking therefore wasn’t possible without a vacuum cleaner.
Besides the scooter, the package also includes a manual, a small pump, a charger, a multifunction key with tools, and a motorcycle lock for the brake disc. Overall, we rate the package contents positively, but the packaging quality could have been better. Instead of polystyrene, the manufacturer could have used foam supports that can’t break and splinter everywhere.
Folding the scooter is very easy, since we don’t need to mount almost anything. The only thing that isn’t already attached to the scooter is its handlebars. However, you just screw them into the handlebar stem using four screws, inflate the tires, and you can ride.
Build quality and design
The KuKirin G2 Master electric scooter measures 1260 x 595 x 1315 mm when unfolded and 1260 x 595 x 595 mm when folded. Its total weight is 33 kg, and at first glance it’s clearly a fairly bulky scooter.
It also stands out with its design, featuring black-and-orange colors. So the entire frame is black, made from an aluminum alloy, complemented by orange elements such as the brand logo, the hook on the handlebars, and the suspension damper springs.
The foot platform is rubberized and measures 18.6 x 48 cm, with a foot step at the rear part above the rear wheel. The construction is of course foldable, and the folding mechanism itself consists of a larger screw head and a metal latch that this nut keeps in place.
Such folding is a bit more time-consuming, since it would be faster to unlock just some kind of safety lever. We’ve already seen a similar system on the e-scooter Kugoo Kirin G3.
Handlebars and display
The handlebars are height-adjustable in three positions — 114, 121, and 128 cm from the ground. Their width is almost 60 cm. A fairly large display dominates the center. It’s backlit and shows the current speed, riding mode (1/2/3), battery voltage, the battery symbol with ten segments, and it also lets you know whether you’ve enabled single or dual mode (one or two motors drive).
The manufacturer handles the odometer/ride-distance display in a rather unusual way. In the bottom-right corner of the display, the total mileage and the mileage since the scooter was turned on (ODO and TRIP) keep flashing continuously. The display reflects quite a lot, which is a minor downside and can be seen in our photos.
On the left side of the handlebars, you’ll find the rear brake lever and a controller with four buttons. Two of them are for controlling the turn signals, the third is for turning the lights on, and the fourth controls the horn.
On the right side, there’s also a front brake lever, plus a smaller controller with a pair of buttons. One is used to turn the scooter on and off, while the other button switches between one-motor and two-motor drive mode — single or dual mode.
Power and two motors
The KuKirin G2 Master has a total output of up to 2000 W. Two motors handle it—one in each wheel—where both provide 1000 W each. They deliver a top speed of up to 60 km/h. There are three speed modes indicated by numbers, with maximum speeds of 20, 40, and 60 km/h.
So the scooter has enough power even on uphill rides. On paper, it can handle a maximum 20° incline. Unfortunately, we couldn’t verify that, but subjectively it tackles even steeper hills really well.
As we mentioned earlier, since here you have a pair of motors, you can choose whether you want to ride with both motors engaged or just one. Of course, when driving with only one motor, the power is lower and the scooter doesn’t accelerate as strongly.
The top speed of 60 km/h, as stated by the manufacturer, isn’t really achievable even in dual mode. Even on a long straight stretch, we only reached up to 56 km/h, which—according to the GPS on our smartphone—was 54 km/h. Acceleration from 45 km/h to the top is already weaker.
After switching to dual mode, where both motors are active and you get full 2000 W power, the scooter feels lively and has noticeably better acceleration than in single mode—the overall riding experience is on a completely different level. While it’s not one of the strongest scooters, the power is still more than enough, and with full throttle from a standstill the acceleration is truly pretty impressive. We enjoyed riding it a lot and had a great time on it.
Lighting and turn signals
In addition to the front and rear lights, the KuKirin G2 Master electric scooter also features an eye-catching backlit KuKirin logo on the side panels of the frame. Besides that, there are also four lights in the corners of the frame.
The turn lights are also quite clearly visible. As turn signals, they use those same four lights in the corners of the platform, so when you switch on the signal, drivers coming toward you can see them well—as can people behind you.
Brakes and wheels
More powerful scooters deserve quality brakes. Here you get mechanical disc brakes in the front and the rear. It’s a shame the manufacturer didn’t go for hydraulic brakes—we would’ve liked those more. However, we’re glad they used standard disc brakes, where you have a pair of brake pads that grip the brake rotor from both sides. That means you’re getting a proper set of mechanical disc brakes.
Their effectiveness is pretty good, but they need to be bedded in a bit. From the factory they brake slightly weaker, and the brake pads rub lightly against the rotor, but a smart user can adjust their position so they don’t scuff during rides.
The wheels are quite wide. They measure 10″ x 2.75, have an off-road tread pattern, and are pneumatic. The manufacturer doesn’t say whether there are inner tubes hidden under the tires. The rear mudguard is split into two parts, which helps round out the overall scooter design.
Front and rear suspension
One of the biggest attractions of this e-scooter is its full suspension setup, meaning the front and the rear. A pair of hydraulic shock absorbers with an eye-catching orange spring ensures a comfortable ride.
We have to admit that riding this e-scooter is extremely comfortable. The suspension works great—it isn’t too stiff, but it’s not overly soft either. It’s tuned just right, so bumps and potholes don’t cause any problems for this scooter.
It’s not really meant for rough terrain, but it handles lighter trails quite well. Riding along country paths is completely trouble-free, and we also really liked the footrest placement near the rear wheel.
Battery and range
The KuKirin G2 Master is built on a 52 V system with a 20.8 Ah battery. The manufacturer claims a range of about 70 km on a single charge at a mid-speed level. Since we used the scooter as much as possible, most of the time we rode in dual mode with both motors powering, and at the highest setting with number 3, where the maximum speed is 60 km/h.
Of course, we didn’t ride at maximum speed continuously, but we used the full power and didn’t spare the e-scooter at all. The editor who tested the e-scooter weighs 78 kg. It was ridden in Košice and the nearby area. Since the weather wasn’t very kind to us, we had to split the test ride, during which we measured the total range on a single charge, into 2 days.
In total, we covered 29 km on a single charge. The second ride ended when we noticed a significant drop in power and maximum speed. By the end, the battery had only 46.1 V left, which corresponds to a capacity of under 20%, and the scooter could no longer maintain higher speeds than 25 km/h.
KuKirin G2 Master: Final assessment
The electric KuKirin G2 Master was absolutely a blast for us. It offers an attractive design, excellent suspension, and high-quality construction. You’ll also be pleased with the 2000 W power and a maximum speed of almost 60 km/h.
The scooter has good performance and decent acceleration. There’s also an interesting solution for the turn lights located in the corners of the foot platform. The battery is 52 V and 20.8 Ah, which—according to the manufacturer—should be enough for a 70 km range. In our highest mode, without holding back, we managed to cover 29 km. However, range is heavily influenced by riding style, terrain, and the rider’s weight.
Overall, we can definitely recommend this scooter, and we truly enjoyed testing it. It has good acceleration and excellent ride characteristics.
