In the review, we’ll take a look at the scooter’s design and build quality, measure the range on a single charge at full power, and share our personal impressions as well.

Packaging contents & quality
The KuKirin G2 electric scooter was delivered to us by the GLS courier in a box measuring 123.5 x 20.5 x 57.5 cm and weighing 29.5 kg. It’s not a very large box, which suggests it’s a more compact model.
Inside the box, the scooter is in a folded state with the handlebars removed, so assembly won’t be complicated. In addition to the scooter, you’ll also find a rear mudguard, a charger, a manual, and tools with screws for mounting the handlebars and mudguard.
The whole scooter is protected in the box with polystyrene inserts, so we rate the packaging quality positively. We generally prefer foam inserts over polystyrene ones, as these can break and crumble, but they did their job.
Easy installation
As we already hinted, assembly in this case is neither complicated nor time-consuming. It simply involves attaching the handlebars and the rear mudguard. For this purpose, the package includes screws and hex keys.
We first unfolded the scooter right in the box to conveniently mount the handlebars using four screws. Only then did we take the scooter out of the box to attach the rear mudguard.
All that’s left is to inflate the tires, charge the battery, and you’re ready to ride.
Design and build quality
In terms of design, the KuKirin G2 clearly ranks among the other models in this series. It offers an attractive design with a metal frame. Black, gray, and orange—those are KuKirin’s colors, typical for all of their models.
The scooter weighs a bit over 26 kg, which isn’t little, but in terms of size this model falls into the mid-range category. The foot platform measures 46 x 18.5 cm and is complemented by a rear step. Personally, we prefer longer platforms, but we’re glad there’s at least the foot area mentioned above the rear suspension spring.
The scooter’s construction also allows folding, which is very easy. Just release the latch and fold the handlebars toward the rear mudguard.
Wide handlebars and a touch display
The KuKirin G2 isn’t among the large scooters, but its handlebars are nicely wide for its category. They’re 66 cm, which we really appreciate, since wider handlebars offer better comfort.
A large display dominates the handlebars with touch buttons and a small sunshade against direct sunlight. The display shows your current speed, the selected riding mode, status icons for lights / cruise control / start from zero, and the battery status as well. The battery symbol consists of up to ten segments, allowing a more precise indication of the remaining capacity—but we’d still rather see a percentage readout.
Three touch buttons are used to switch the lights, riding mode, and change the speed units between km/h and mph.
As for the layout of the controls directly on the handlebars: on the left side you’ll find the rear brake lever and a control unit with buttons for the turn signals and the horn. On the right side there’s a twist throttle controller that also has a lever, the front brake lever, and a button to turn the e-scooter on and off.
Power and riding modes
The KuKirin G2 electric e-scooter comes with an 800W motor, thanks to which it reaches a maximum speed of 45 km/h. The motor is located in the rear wheel. There are three stepped modes by speed: 25 / 35 / 45 km/h.
Overall, the e-scooter has a decent amount of power, but it’s not an asphalt-destroyer. Acceleration is just right, making the scooter feel quite lively—however, to reach the top speed, it needs a longer run-up.
It handles hills on average. On very steep inclines without a running start, it noticeably slows down or may even come to a complete stop. So it’s not the best choice for hilly terrain.
Lighting with turn signals as well
Right at first glance, the scooter stands out thanks to its large front light, which shines pretty well—but because it’s fixed, it doesn’t offer any angle adjustment.
Along with the white front light, you’ll also find turn signals, both at the front and at the rear. The front turn signals are easier to see than the rear ones, since the rear section is dominated by a stronger and larger red light where the turn signals visually blend in.
Wheels, brakes, and suspension
The KuKirin G2 features 10-inch tubeless tires. The tire size is specifically 10 x 2.75 – 6.5″. It also includes disc brakes—mechanical, not hydraulic, but perfectly sufficient for this kind of e-scooter. The rotors have a 140 mm diameter.
These are full-fledged disc brakes with two brake pads on each rotor. Given the scooter’s weight and power, they can bring it to a stop without any issues—and even in emergency situations where you need to brake at the last moment, they won’t disappoint you.
When we look at the suspension, you’ll notice a spring shock absorber in both the front and rear. It handles bumps well, although at times—at higher speeds—it will give a slight rattle.
Battery and range
In the chassis there’s a 48V / 15Ah battery that, according to the manufacturer, should be enough for 55 km at a medium speed. Still, these figures should be verified in real-world use—which we of course didn’t skip here either.
With the e-scooter, we took to the streets of Košice and the surrounding area. We mostly rode on bike paths and roads in maximum mode. Wherever the situation allowed, we went at the highest possible speed, so we didn’t spare the e-scooter at all. On the contrary, we tried to get the most out of it so we could properly enjoy the ride.
To monitor range, we enabled the Strava app on our smartphone, which measured a total of 28.44 km. Surprisingly, the e-scooter itself measures the remaining range very accurately, since the display showed 28 km. It’s not a lot, but considering the battery used, the power, and the scooter’s weight, it’s a standard range. With slower and more careful riding, you can obviously get significantly more distance on a single charge.
For the sake of completeness, we’ll add that the editor who tested the e-scooter weighs 75 kg and rode it at the end of October, when daytime temperatures were around 16 °C.
KuKirin G2: Final assessment
Looking for a good e-scooter at a reasonable price? The KuKirin G2 could be an interesting option. For less than 500 EUR, it offers an 800W motor at the rear, a top speed of 45 km/h, and a 48V / 15Ah battery. What’s more, it looks great, has wide handlebars, a clear and large display, turn signals, and disc brakes.
With the e-scooter, we rode very well and comfortably. We also appreciate the wide handlebars, which improve steering. As a downside, we see the fender, which doesn’t cover much of the rear wheel—so when riding in wet conditions, you’ll probably not stay completely dry. In addition, the front fender is completely missing.
