The foundation of the UrbanGlide 500 W electric scooter is a motor with a rated power of 500 W, while the short-term peak power can reach up to 750 W. These specs should be enough not only for riding on flat roads, but also for handling milder inclines. After unlocking the factory speed limiter, the manufacturer states a maximum speed of 35 km/h.

The rider has four speed modes with limits of 3, 6, 15, and 25 km/h. The seller states that the limiter can be removed up to 35 km/h by holding the brake and then pressing the power button six times. We recommend using the higher speed only in a suitable place and in line with current rules.

Battery with a range up to 35 kilometers

Power comes from a lithium battery with 36 V voltage and a 10 Ah capacity. Under ideal conditions, the manufacturer declares a range of approximately 30 to 35 kilometers per single charge. That means the scooter can be used for everyday commuting to work, school, or for shorter trips without needing constant recharging.

As usual, the real range will depend on the rider’s weight, the selected speed mode, temperature, wind, the route profile, and how you accelerate. That’s why when riding at maximum speed or on a noticeably hilly terrain, you should expect a shorter distance.

10-inch tires and dual suspension

In this price range, what caught our attention is the combination of large 10-inch tires and a dual suspension system. The scooter has damping in both the front and rear, which should help when riding over paving stones, smaller potholes, or uneven sections on the bike path.

The frame of the UrbanGlide 500 W electric scooter is made from an aluminum alloy, and the entire construction is foldable. The scooter itself weighs about 18 kg, so it’s not the absolute lightest city model. Still, you can fold it and carry it into an apartment, office, or put it in the car trunk.
