First impressions were very positive, but of course we also found a few downsides. What impressed us the most was its really great suspension—soft yet well-balanced for the best damping of road imperfections. It also stands out with its great look and quick acceleration thanks to the two motors.
One of its biggest drawbacks is clearly the lack of hydraulic brakes, since it only has standard mechanical disc brakes. If you’re a bit more demanding rider, we definitely recommend going for better hydraulic brakes.
Dual motors and a large battery
With a pair of 1000 W motors, the KuKirin G2 Master is a truly powerful companion for getting around the city and beyond. Its top speed reaches an impressive 60 km/h, making it a fast alternative to traditional forms of urban transport. Without any effort, you can cover long distances and handle climbs up to an angle of up to 20°.
A high-quality lithium battery has found its place on the footboard, which means it’s well protected against impacts, water, and unwanted mechanical damage. Its capacity reaches the limit at 20,8 Ah and is optimized to deliver the best possible performance. With a full charge, it can provide up to 70 km of range.

Does it have a seat?
No seat—just like you can see in the photos.
The seat fits there with no problems at all with the Kukirin Max.
I’ll probably get the 2024 version from Banggood and not the 2025 Upgrade version, which has a different display, key locking and puncture-resistant tubeless tires – because the upgrade, especially the tubeless tires and locking, is quite important to me.
There’s nothing about the new 2025 version on Banggood, so they probably won’t be selling it either. We’ll find out whether they plan to add it to the lineup.

Is it the 2025 upgrade version? – or is it the original 2024 one without locking and without tubeless tires. Personally, I think it’s a great e-scooter, but the 2025 upgrade was simply fine-tuned specifically to customer requests – they just didn’t add hydraulic brakes so they could keep the attractive price offer 🙂
Review of the e-scooter Kukirin G2 Master.
I mainly use the purchased scooter to get to work. It’s a fairly short commute, and that’s why, after 4 months (of which I’ve been actively using the scooter for only about 2 months), I’ve put just 132 km on it. I’ll rate it from the perspective of a person who’s 176 cm tall and weighs 85 kg. For objectivity, I mention that I ride the scooter with a full backpack. The total load on the scooter and battery is 92 kg.
Visually, I don’t really have much to complain about. It’s a classic, pleasant combination of black with orange accents. One thing I consider really tacky is the scooter’s side lighting (the lit Kukirin logo). The strong blue light is more off-putting than pleasant, and unfortunately it turns on automatically when you switch on the lights and can’t be turned off. All materials feel high quality, just like the overall look of the scooter.
Technical side: The construction is solid and it hardly rattles. I was a bit worried about handlebar sounds, since it has height adjustment, but everything is firm and nothing squeaks. The handlebar height can be adjusted to my height nicely. Assembling the scooter was very easy. In the box you get a tool with all the necessary attachments.
The standing platform is wide, but for taller people and people with bigger legs/feet it may be a bit short.
The brakes are more than sufficient. The unit I received had them adjusted very poorly. After proper adjustment, they’re highly effective.
For me, one of the more serious downsides of the scooter is the firmness of the hydraulic dampers. From the factory, they come set in the “medium” mode, so there’s still room to loosen them and thereby soften the suspension. Unfortunately, the needed adapter isn’t included in the box—you have to get it separately. It’s a special attachment, and you can’t loosen it with other tools (I tried). Since I haven’t bought the right adapter yet, I can only rate the suspension as very stiff. This disappointed me a lot, because I switched to a new scooter from the KuKirin G3, which only has TPU suspension and was generally described as more “sporty” with a firm suspension. And my disappointment was even bigger because the Kukirin G2 Master with hydraulic suspension filters bumps worse than the KuKirin G3 and is also noticeably harder. For fairness, I remind you that I don’t have the dampers set to the softest setting.
The front light is very bright (almost too bright) and adjusted so it extremely blinds oncoming riders. Since you can’t adjust the light height (it’s permanently welded to the platform), I only “slightly” shaved down the metal bracket the light is hung on—and that solved the entire problem.
The scooter has no app or Bluetooth, so all settings can be done only via the display. (This isn’t really a big issue, though, since the scooter offers a fairly wide range of things you can adjust.)
The handlebars are wide enough and feel comfortable to hold. The classic accelerator is also pleasant to use. The directional indicator and horn panel can be adjusted individually.
The acceleration is quite aggressive, even when you set it to the weakest position. For people like me who upgraded from a single-motor e-scooter to a dual-motor one, it will be a pretty extreme jump, but you can get used to it over time. If you’re looking for extreme acceleration, I can recommend it 100%. At higher speeds (over 40 km/h) I noticed a slight “wobbling”.
The battery range is rather weak. At an average speed of 30–35 km/h and a total weight of 92 kg, I reached only about 27 km. (estimated remaining buffer in the battery is around 10%, since I didn’t run it all the way down to full depletion)
Very bad is the way it displays the remaining battery capacity. It shows either in a V or using ten bars in the battery icon. The problem is that if you press the accelerator all the way, the indicator can drop from 7 bars to 2–3 bars after just a few seconds/minutes. Roughly: if your scooter shows 4–5 bars in the battery icon, after a few minutes of riding at 40 km/h you’ll be at 0 range. It happened to me 1 time—exactly under the higher-speed circumstances mentioned above—where the scooter left me stranded in the middle of the road. Realistically, nobody thinks that when you turn on the scooter and it shows 40–50% battery capacity, it will be dead after about 7 minutes of riding. You can get used to this if you figure out, based on your riding style, how many kilometers the scooter will give you—and not rely on the information from the display.
Overall rating is definitely positive despite the reservations mentioned. Still, this is an e-scooter in the price category under 800 EUR. So the price-to-performance is absolutely high.
In conclusion, I want to mention that right from the start I had an issue with the scooter I purchased (a deformed front wheel). With no real hope of success, I tried to file a warranty claim. If it weren’t for the guys at xiaomi/China Planet, I would only have been bitterly crying over the money I wasted. That’s why I want to warn everyone: when you order, be really careful and do everything correctly so the guys can see your order in their system. (That way, on their side you’ll get help with the warranty claim.) There are articles about it on the site + there’s also an app made for Chrome. Don’t risk losing this great service because of a poorly placed order, because it can literally save you money!
